Secondly I understand that nothing has changed even with new coaches and a very good NSD incoming class it all needs to translate to the playing field with improved play.

We also need to see the correction of our same repeated areas of failure.

However,

I look forward to having the opportunity to watch and be part of the process of improvement with a voice of support for our players and coaches while it is happening.

Wasn't that one thing we all wanted to see, Improvement from game to game

Another point of agreement is none of this would have not been possible had Towel Toddy remained our DC

In speaking with several locals along with my own thinking is that after the Vandy game what was a cool relationship turned to ice between TG and CMR

The back channel activity was sent into motion to see that TG had a new home in 2014 after that game IMO

Remember Mac telling CMR let him know what he needed.

In this case it was a new DC.

I never bought that the buyout of TG was a factor. As it happened it was not an issue

This news was learned by CSL and he left knowing what was coming

You bet it was personal problems

You would not be retained with a new DC Leave now and find a new job

CCW and CKO waited to see if they had a shot at being the new DC

Once the search left Athens then they found new employers

To me it seems unlikely that CWF and CJP did not have conversations about Georgia before TG departed

Seems CJP is living in CWF basement while in the relocation process

A deal like this needed more than two days to happen

The fact that FSU didn't even counter makes me go what?

Yea I know CJP was buds to CJF and his heart was here in Athens

Don’t buy the wife to be wanted him out of Tally and away from the co-eds. It’s not like he is going to be coaching Boys Town here in Athens

What we do know is the results which is the departure of TG

A very good thing

If this move improves our team and how it plays then I am good with the trade-off in the short

yankeedawg1, I try hard not to say too much outside of threads that I create or am in agreement with. You make many good points in this thread.

Very difficult for me to look past some things that are continuing to be played out the same way, year after year.

When I see players on scholarship to the Unversity of Georgia, it bothers me when I (Buc) have more heart in our football team than those wearing the cleats.

The mess that has occurred can only be laid at the feet of those that are directors of the program. If there is a lack of leadership, we feel the consequences on Saturday afternoons in Sanford. Case in point . . . . JHC, there were many before him, but lack of leadership has prevented the message from getting through.

Coach Pruitt could be a very good thing for all of us that want to see change. The change that we are asking for has not been forthcoming for far too long. Like that hole in the road, along comes a crew and shovels some asphalt into the hole and rakes "over it". Has the repair been made? That is the last question that should be asked and answered truthfully.

Hoping that everyone up that way is getting some relief from a brutal winter. Remember them well, chickened out and headed south.

Getting L.Carter made me a little happy feel like he can take a game over like Jarvis did.

Now if there's No off field issues during the summer I'll be happy.

Hopefully Pruitt can do what the longest tenured coach in the SEC couldn't.
We all want the same thing, a National Championship.
What I don't want is a fat, happy head coach.
Successful coaches are never satisfied.
