Go Dawgs!
From Athens- DC 101 was created by yankeedawg1
Good Morning All,
Wild week in Athens has been more like Six Flags than the Classic City
Looking back on the TG hire we had an idea that reaching out to the NFL was going to give us an edge
It was a relief that we had moved on from the Willie nightmare
We looked at the 3-4 as the trick that would bring back our defense
To the level we were use to GATA
It didn’t turn that way
Yes I was a stake holder in the dream as we all knew that defense wins
Championships
I also have a bridge across the Hudson I will sell you cheap
Willie’s D was not ever going to get the job done
Toddy did just enough in the first two years to hold our interest and for the most part gave us faith that we were headed in the right direction
Wrong, dead ass wrong!
Hearing CJP explain that it doesn’t matter what he knows it is more important that the players know what to do and how to do it correctly
This flipped a switch in my mind and gave me a flashback on how taken I was with TG the teacher
IMO here lays the fatal flaw with Toddy
What appeared to be his ability to teach was a hoax a sham
That’s why the confusion with his system he didn’t know how to reach and teach our players what he wanted done and how to do it.
Yelling was his method to make it clearer
None of our players wanted to omit that they couldn’t handle learning
After all to play at the next level you need to be able to understand this
complex scheme
What we had in Toddy was the mad professor
Jarvis found out when he got to Pittsburgh what the real deal is and how far away it was from what Toddy was pushing on us
I wouldn’t be at all surprised that Jarvis might have shared with MR what a boatload of BS was going on. Jarvis feels that MR took a chance on him and he wants the best for Georgia
Why CJP feels different to me – one of his FSU players shared what CJP mentored him with
“You don’t get want you want
You get what you earn”
Four years with the Prof and we never heard anything close to that
I am a music person, all kinds
Played it, wrote it never what you call good but had a hell of a ball back in my youth. It opened many doors of opportunity
Since those days I always manage to put a song with what I am thinking
The Stones wrote and sang – No, you can't always get what you want
You can't always get what you want-But if you try sometimes you find
You get what you need.
It is with a good amount of caution I say maybe just maybe this might be the case with CJP
Here is hoping to upgrade that to a definite maybe after we beat Climpson and the Ballsack in the fall
Ad5- once again so sorry to hear of the lost of your friend Danny
Thoughts and prayers from Athens
Buc, like to hear what Greg’s take is on our new coach. I understand he was never a big fan of our former towel guy
Pause and give thanks, an extra measure to those who serve in harm’s way
Have a great weekend and a safe week
Looks to be some interesting NFL playoff games
As always “Go Dawgs”

Will not be going to the VA today, but there is always a possibility that Greg has read this board. Believe I mentioned that he is close to JHC. Mentioned in one of your previous threads that folks down the Lowndes way were upset with grantham's moving JHC away from safety.
grantham had no control over those he "coached", not "taught" I might add. Sorry, same can be said for our head coach. Don't like it when politics overtakes the game of college football. Gets more political every year. Think I am the one that brought the M&M factor to this board. Soon enough that will prove itself out.
Really all I am after and I think most on this board and others are is this, some structure in our program. We are not only having player problems, coaching problems are a bigger downfall than the player problems. I sometimes want to barf when I hear the word "continuity". Can anyone put their finger on what part of Athens football that is being practiced? Just my opinion, from the outside looking in. It remains a large part of the discussions that I have with others that I know.
As far as Pruitt, the players won't have any problems with him having some fun. While his fiance might not be thrilled, sometimes it works that way. Pruitt comes to Athens highly recommended, comes from a defense that was all that at FSU, regardless of who recruited them prior to and after he coached there. We have a lot of talent in Athens, maybe he can begin to turn some things around before Clemson. yd1 bringing up this particular quote made by Pruitt is my opinion is a great way to enter the arena.
“You don’t get what you want
You get what you earn”
Here is hoping that one of the players steps up under Pruitt and takes JHC's job away. If Pruitt is shooting straight, we will find out soon enough.
Allow me this . . . . Erk was a players coach, much like what we are hearing from Pruitt. With Erk, you earned what you got. He loved his players, and in return they went to the wall for him. They never quit, they were Junkyard Dawgs, Erk's Junkyard Dawgs. One can only hope this is the second coming.
Drop the damn politics and play football. Honesty is the best policy. Just saying . . . .
AD5, I am close to many also see and talk to many folks that are giving their all for us. I know your hearbreak, my Brother, as does averagedawg.

Plucked this site just now. Had contact with David Hale prior to Seth Emerson. Really enjoyed David and his knowledge of college football. Think most would enjoy reading the artice.

I listened to the Grantham press conference. Man. It was like someone else wrote those words for another team and TG just happened to be there reading them. I had no idea he was the backbone of the success at UGA.
He said something that lets me know what part of the problem was. Seems he thinks it is a success to win the East.
Ok, that just means you were the best team out of 6 then 7 teams.
TG, remember this: we won TWO SEC titles before you arrived; we won NONE with you here, so I don't really know what foundation you laid.

The wife says Wilson is staying after all. True?
