From Athens- Game Day Friday #8

Early on when I first started posting on this site I spoke of a
Old C&W song “I’m walking the floor over you”


I have been doing that all this week thinking about the Dawgs and our game in JAX

Just a feeling that this won’t come down to FG in OT

Vegas has us a 3 point favorite which is not a ringing endorsement but
better than being the underdog I think maybe?

AM has never had a great game in JAX but just enough to win two and
a chance for number 3

He cam chase another demon away by lighting it up does not need 300 yds passing just a good solid game and protect the ball

Having TG back is huge but MB is a major factor now that CC is also out

UF wants to jam the line to stop the run fine bring it on

Me thinks TG catching a swing or screen pass along with our TE’s will
cure that

Time for RW to show up and play like he did in Knoxville with him being a senior and his last UF game it’s statement time

Be good for him to follow RS-II example

Opportunity for a young WR to get some face time also

I think in spite of our questionable coaching on defense that we will see more improvement on that side of the ball

Some very good plays by our “D” against Vandy got lost in all the
Crapoloa that overshadowed it. Losing was the biggest factor no doubt

Time for Russ to back up his bark

I think it is going to be a very unpleasant day for Muschimp

Lets hope Bobo calls play to throw to the TEs! Because he sure hasn't done that a lot!

And I hope TG is ready to carry that ball, and the Dawgs O-line blocks for AM and they open up holes for TG.

Also we need some great plays from the special teams players! Do you hear me CMR?

Morning yankeedawg1. Will be going to the VA this morning. Matter of fact will be taking a bag of boiled peanuts down to Greg. Last batch that I gave him turned out that some of the nurses had not tried them before. Take that back two of the nurses had. All are in line when the "goobers" arrive. Greg is a big fan having grown up in South Georgia.

One more thing to you, had mentioned that there are some things that will be said later on. Will pass this along. There are some very unhappy members of the JHC clan about a certain defensive coach and his way of coaching. Josh is Greg's cousin.

On a high note. Greg said that Dyshon Sims is an animal. Figures to be the left offensive tackle at Georgia. Easy going personality until he straps the uniform on. Alabama really wanted/wants Sims. Same can be said for other universities. Rugged individual on the field, working hard to get a good education off the field.

Another good class, just hope that all or most will remain. Something has to change on the coaching front or . . . .

Watching the VA hearings on C-span, shame that a high ranking member would steal, taking money that should go to the many Veterans that have given so much, and then take the 5th. There is a place for scum.

Game just around the corner, rain or shine, JAX will rock.

Saturday evening outcome will have a lot to do with both universities future.

Eve of the game and I feel confident. What I see is two pretty equal teams with a lot on the line. Pride will dictate what happens. Theme should be "Don't let the gators win because you didn't give 110%". Emotions will run high and team that keeps composure will come out on top. Want to see some emotion out of our coaches too!

AM has grown up a lot this year. Have seen him be a leader. Don't expect to see him have a huge game, but do see him manage the game. Getting TG back is huge boost of confidence.

My prediction: UGA 24 UF 21.
