Good Morning All,

Found this definition of Savor on the web and it works for me

Whether it’s a feeling of joy or a piece of pecan pie — when you savor something, you enjoy it to the fullest.

When you savor something, you enjoy it so much that you want to make it last forever. With that in mind, savor carries a connotation of doing

something slowly. If you savor that flourless chocolate tart, then you eat it slowly, bit by bit, deliberately picking every last crumb off the

plate. The word is often applied to eating, but you can savor any pleasurable experience, whether it’s the winning touchdown or your moment in the spotlight.

That is how I feel watching both the USC & LSU games so much to savor

OK time to move on to our next challenge which is the Pumpkin People of East Tennessee

I was part of madness when Peyton came back for his senior year

The Knoxville Zoo named a baby Giraffe that was born at that time “Peyton” no joke

What can you say?

It was easy for me - Thank You God for moving me to Athens from Chattanooga

We are concerned and rightly so about which one of our Dawg teams will show up in Knoxville Saturday afternoon

The one that played USC & LSU or the one that let NT hang around until the second half
before we found our groove and pulled away

IMO with this group we tend to learn quicker from our mistakes than those of the recent
past.

I feel that is due to our coaches and the players we currently have being more WE
focused and not playing ME ball

Watching our offense you can tell they have fun scoring

Call they play

Run the play-execute at a very high level

Score

Get the ball back and do it all over

AM does a excellent job of keeping everyone’s head in the game

Another week in pads-TM tweaked a hammie and CMR says TG is game time decision

Again coaches not backing off keeping team’s nose on the stone-a very good thing

No brain farts and we take care of Smokey – Be good if our “D” has a very good game

Another show in prime time with national coverage –it makes at least 3 times that the

Dawg’s will be on CBS this year- I think some high school players are again taking note

we play freshman who have the skills-line for recruits forms to the right-Love it

Buc, Hey to Greg - he must have enjoyed last week’s brawl

Pause and give thanks

Have a great weekend and a safe week

As always “Go Dawgs”

Go Dawgs!

Score often. Shut them down. Keep crowd quite and band not playing Rocky Top.

Defense is due for complete game. This would be the time.

Go Dawgs! GATA!

yankeedawg1, here is hoping that the referees let the teams play as they did with Georgia/LSU. Don't get ticky-tacky.

Seems that Mark Richt is not showing his hand, even a little bit. Referring to Gurley. Won't make a lot of difference in the way Tennessee will line up against us. Jones understands that there is still mucho talent in Athens. Can't remember when I could make that statement. (Meaning useable players qualified to play). So much has changed.

Off to the VA, will pass along to Greg that you had something to say. Today will be the first time I have seen him since the LSU game.

Really looking forward to ogredawg's game post tomorrow. Interested as always reading the posts on this board.

Go Dawgs! :)

Not going to start a new thread for this. This poem could apply to some of the thoughts I have had over a period of time about our football situaion in Athens. Much has improved, but much needed to improve.

My mind wanders about certain coaches and players and what was previously accepted along the lines of the Charles Osgood poem.

From the Osgood File- Charles Osgood

There once was a pretty good student.
Who sat in a pretty good class
And was taught by a pretty good teacher, who always let pretty good pass.
He wasn't terrific at reading,
He wasn't a whiz-bang at math.
But for him education was leading
Straight down a pretty good path.
He didn't find school too exciting,
But he wanted to do pretty well,
And he did have some trouble with writing,
And nobody had taught him to spell.
When doing arithmetic problems,
Pretty good was regarded as fine.
Five plus five needn't always add up to be ten,
A pretty good answer was nine.
The pretty good class that he sat in
Was part of a pretty good school.
And the student was not an exception,
On the contrary, he was the rule.
The pretty good school that he went to
Was there in a pretty good town.
And nobody there seemed to notice
He could not tell a verb from a noun.
The pretty good student in fact was party of a pretty good mob.
And the first time he knew what he lacked was
When he looked for a pretty good job.
It was then, when he sought a position,
he discovered that life could be tough.
And he soon had a sneaky suspicion
Pretty good might not be good enough.
The pretty good town in our story
Was part of a pretty good state,
Which had pretty good aspirations,
And prayed for a pretty good fate.
There once was a pretty good nation,
Pretty proud of the greatness it had,
Which learned much too late,
If you want to be great,
Pretty good is, in fact, pretty bad.

yd1, something you wrote jumped out:

"Get the ball back and do it all over"

Seems like we play down to the level of our foe too much. We CAN do this . . . I sure hope we DO.
