other than 2 gift TD's by special teams not to shabby a performance under other than ideal weather conditions. N Texas came to play.

Only thing that really stood out is we looked out of sync and somewhat ill prepared.

AM needs to stop trying to force the ball to his receivers tho......

Just needs to let that record come to him. That forced throw to the endzone was just stupid. There was no one that was going to make a play on that ball except for the north Texas defense. Georgia d looked good the second half. Richt needs a special teams coach...

Speaking of which, didn't he say he would coach the special teams himself?

I saw AM try to force it 3 times the other 2 were incomplete

Guess all said and done, they looked fine (of course with the exception of ST's.....snapper needs to be more consistent, 1st the bad FG snap in Clemson game then high snap to get blocked yesterday....btw, terrible blocking as well)

AM did force a couple and the HORRIBLE one in the endzone (what in the world did he SEE??), but he really threw the ball well in all that mess and the receivers really caught the ball well. Man, does AM have some weapons or what? Davis is could "potentially" be a Percy Harvin type of playmaker.....just wait til he grows facial hair.

Overall, not bad.......at least D played great against the run (I know, it was NT but....). They had better have their jocks on real tight next week against Hill......he's a man.

My opinion of the game wasn't too good, mostly because of the tied score in the third. Some of the NT fans got a little chippy at that point. But going back and looking at the stats makes it apparent that this was never REALLY a game. The tied score was pretty deceptive. All totaled, NT had 3 noteworthy plays - the TD pass (which was a phenomenal pass), a returned kick (which was a combination of a total break down in ST play and a great returner), and a blocked punt, which a third grade team could have blocked.

But if you check the stats, you'll see only 245 total yards for "them" and over 600 for "us". That's a big disparity. You'll see only 7 total yards rushing for NT. First downs were also pretty far apart.

North Texas gave it their all, and two "special" plays for them made it look much closer, but in the end the vastly better team won.

Now on to LSUers. It will be a wildly different game. I sure hope the Dawgs are up for this one!!!!! This could wind up being the entire SEASON!

Yeah two not so special, special teams plays made this game seem to be much closer than it really was. Without those two garbage TD's
then we are all here talking about how this game went exactly as it should..

Just to note... I hear CMR is going to go to Barnes and Noble and buy a book on special teams, so he can read up on this kicking an
kick coverage stuff and get up to speed and maybe start offering some coaching help.
