From Athens - Fence Sitting

Good Morning All,

When it come to JHC I am sitting on the fence.

Will he man up and play football or will all that God given talent go to waste?

Are we looking at a repeat of IC? It is hard not to lmup the two together.

What I am hearing he wants to pay his dues and put this behind him. I hope that thisis not just hype talking.

CTG will make a teachable moment out of this mess come fall camp.

Me i will wait and see where his head and heart are come the USC game.

Yes, I'm sure CTG will have something in store for EVERYONE come fall practice (if not sooner for Mr. JHC)......at least it has been mostly quiet in Athens, so far. They need to keep it that way a couple of more months.....hold your breath.

Most people haven't said much about his one game suspension for JHC against Clemson but in my mind, that is going to be a huge problem for our D. You know Boyd is licking his chops.......NOT GOOD imo!!! We had better score 50, and we just might do that.

In a way I agree with wlayton and in a way I don't. On the one hand, I want the best ATHLETES on the field at all times, and JHC is certainly one of those. On the other hand, Connor Norman has a lot more experience, and I don't feel like he is going to get beat by a trick or two. I'd rather have JHC out there than not, but we may actually be better off with Norman to prevent a blown coverage.

Now I will go back where I belong - deferring to wlayton on all things football related. :laugh:

Imo, Norman is average at best. JHC can run circles around him......but I certainly understand your point.....experience can be huge, hope you are right thriller!! :woohoo: :woohoo:

My worries with Norman is he may know the coverages and what to do and where to be BUT.....can he actually GET there.

JHC is a big talent....6'5" that can "bring it". Has the potential to be an All-SEC safety. Hard to do when your butt is on the bench, huh?

Let's just hope that this serves as motivation for JHC to stay out of trouble and on the field. I applaud CTG for his quick and somewhat strict action of benching JHC for first game. A seriously tough game! Get the picture JHC, you are NOT above the team. IC thought he was, he was wrong.

How many times have we seen other programs sit out a player on suspension against a "cream-puff" school?

I say, "Next man up, and Git Er Done!"

And hopefully Dawgs will overcome. Best scenario is that CN has career game and let's see what happens .....
