From Athens- What we Know ?

Good Morning All,

Georgia and I had finished a nice morning walk and were spending some time on the patio.

I was enjoying a mug of coffee and she was doing some serious work on her rawhide bone.

Being a dog of few words her question to me was what can we say we know about our football program now.

I offered the following,

I know we made the right choice for our AD

Don’t know for sure if CRG was the last of the CWM bend then break defense but he is gone. This will prove to be big both in coaching and recruiting. And our "D" will be better!

CMR has changed for the better

We now have a new school president maybe he is an Adam’s man but he may also turn out to have his own ideas. We will see soon.

Our entire coaching staff and players our focused on getting back to ATL and winning, third time is a charm right ?

Speaking of players we can play with any team is college football-IMO

CWF &CMB have grown into their jobs and will continue to prove their worth. CCW name will be added shortly.

This -Team is more about “we” than "Me". A very good thing

Pushing to open new areas to recruit from-(great pickup in getting Sony) Love it

Pride and passion to wear the “G” returning to our players and recruits.
I want to be a Bulldog!

Looking a CTG does anybody think he is clueless on what needs to be done to improve are run “D”? Seems he sent a few players this year to the NFL. I think his next man up and building depth pays off this season.

As we started back into the house Georgia said you know all of which you have said is true however, we need it to seal the deal on the field.

Appears that we will know a lot more about our coaches and team the first couple of weeks into the season.

TN Dawg made a comment in another thread about our defense that I have heard a thing or two about. Believe this group does buy into team and we not me. Talent galore on campus and soon, more to come. Pleased with the depth that has been created, just one thing to say about that. Use it. Know that some of the young players coming in are going to push hard to play. That is the right attitude.

Sadly from where I stand, think I was fooled into thinking that last years team was going to have that we not me mentality. Sure had the skill, however we had to have a cornerback call his teammates out for lack of "effort" not lack of "skill". Oh well, I am one that thinks this group will change that.

Have a great day, on my way to the VA this morning, get to chat with some of those that have given a lot. At my VA we have a "few" of the WWII heroes left, time sure passes quickly. So many young men in the 1940's that were all about "we" and not "me" that never got to return home and watch their favorite football team. God Bless.

Russ IS BACK and he has beaten UF the last two years!!!!

He has single handedly made my life here in Jax wonderful the last two years and to him I am very grateful.

Glad to be back and reading yours' and Georgia's words of wisdom. I, like Buc, and a few others on here thought last year's team might have been the one to take us to the promised land. Turned out that was the team that set the cornerstone for future teams at UGA. I feel also that CMR continues to grow, and as long as Saban is at Bama he will continue to.

Getting tired of saying maybe next year. Time has come for the cream to rise. Really like hearing the comments from the new guys in having pride in wearing the G. Makes me feel like a little of the swagger is back that was missing. Agree that we must let our talking be done on the field.
