DAWGtm, you have probably seen this film clip, going to put it up anyway. This is big. Not much has been said about Mark Richt in this recruiting effort. Don't for a minute anyone think that this does not have Richt's fingerprints all over this get.
Also, don't get me wrong, a friend of mine in Palm Beach said sometime back that Sony would be playing football between the Hedges. High Fives go to Coach McClendon for this commit, he did what Garner refused to do with the talent surrounding the Athens Campus, Coach McClendon did his job with integrity. Take that statement anywhere that anyone disagrees with. Open for Garner's failure in the last three years for discussion. Good damn riddance.
One very important thing that was passed along to me, feel sure that most of you will appreciate this. Sony was told that if the knee thingy happened again, he would never have to worry about UGA pulling his scholarship. This goes back to Mark Richt, the man. There are universitites that work around that. Not calling names.
Probably have not said it more than a couple of hundred times, this group of coaches seem to have their "acts together".
One more thing . . . . I live in the State of Florida, know this to be a fact . . . . Mark Richt understands South Florida (a different world). Grew up in Boca Raton, attended the "U". This might piss some off, but . . . . if the young men in the State of Georgia want to cast their lot with Alabama, Ohio State and Heaven forbid, Abuurn, thank our lucky stars that folks from the Sunshine State will make their way to Athens, and Mark Richt has a lot to do with that.
Some of you folks might think I am blowing hot air, do sometimes. Sony Michel will make all Georgia fans happy campers. He is all that.
Last comment or two . . . . We need offensive linemen. Anyone watch Saban strutting around at Radio City Music Hall last evening? One and two selected on the board were offensive linemen . . . . not his linemen in the 1 and 2 slots but not far from that. We all know that running backs with "shake" can look real good, not without the force in the trenches. Looking forward to Will Friend pulling some serious talent to Athens . . . . the likes of Kublanow, the next great center in college football. I said that.
