Shaq and Brendan . . . . Perfect For UGA

Sometimes a player comes along that has that “something” different about the way he plays football. Having watched every piece of film that I can find on Shaquille Wiggins, he fits the mold.

Shaq reminds me of a certain player that turned many games around for LSU. Yep, the “Honey Badger”. Personal habits set aside, “HB” was a player that most good quarterbacks and coaches accounted for prior to the start and finish of a game. Fail to do so, he was going to make you regret it. Not something that coaches teach, it is a gift.

Don’t see how Shaq Wiggins sits on the bench this season. First off, before a ball is snapped to start the 2013 Season, I don’t think there is a better cover football player on our team right now. Playing man, he is something to watch.

We have others that are coming our way, very good football players such as Brendan Langley, going to be difficult to keep him on the sideline. Excellent player, watching film on Brendan, I have thoughts of a “Rookie” starting for us this season . . . . Tray Matthews. Brendan is a tough guy, with football savvy. Brings heat.

Appears to me that the defense is very close to where our Defensive Coordinator said we would be in three or four years. Definitely see “improvement” over the previous groups failure to teach that side of the ball. Talent was there, player wise, coaching was anything but . . . . explanation not needed.

Leaves me with this . . . . Need to spend serious recruiting time finding and signing Offensive Linemen. That is a must, and it is not a secret at this point.

Couple of videos below that I enjoy watching, if you have not seen them, take a look.

Looking at the other defensive backs and safties coming in this year . . . . Hard for me not to think that Georgia is going back to playing defense in Athens.

CB J. J. Green
CB Reggie Wilkerson
S Quincy Mauger
S Paris Bostick
DB Shaquille Fluker
S Kennar Johnson

Don't know of course who drew up the game plan for football in Athens recently, however since most or many of us were pissed about the way things were going a short time back . . . . have to feel that new blood was needed and was "injected".

How do you really feel Buc?

Glad you asked.

Made some strong comments on this board in the past few days about the "higher ups". What has changed since the "higher ups" have been replaced and new hires with "serious" football knowledge started to put their footprints on our program.

Question . . . . anyone reading this believe that Willie should be discussed in the same paragraph with Grantham?

McGarity, Grantham, Olivadotti, Friend, Wilson, Lakatos, Tereshinski, Armstrong and those that never get their names mentioned, graduate assistants and the like. Reminds me a bit of the talk on all boards, and media outlets that say either rebuild or reload when talking about players and programs. In this case I would say, damn good sense took over in a program that needed "football guidance". My opinion. Never met anyone that knew everything.

Those that like to talk about soft schedules need to understand one thing . . . . anything short of Alabama on your schedule is a soft schedule. Ask Notre Dame, and they sure as hell did not want Alabama on their schedule, especially at the end. Have heard many excuses from the media as to why Notre Dame got it handed to them, have yet to stop LMAO.

Media talk is cheap. Play an SEC schedule . . . . jump in, test the water, what was the score in the National Championship Game, escapes me. Anyone see the new contract that Notre Dame just signed with NBC, think it runs through 2025. Pretty good numbers for a team that was good in the 1940's, 50's and a few years after that. They did try Georgia in the early 80's, however . . . .

Keep building Georgia, recruit offensive and defensive linemen, makes everything on the football field work so much better. Mark Richt, that information is free, no charge. Stay on the path you appear to be on now, you will find out that "we" want the same thing that I think "you" want. :)
