Never Ends, Evans Shame on You . . . .

11 years 7 months ago #52259 by Buc
Sorry, have to give my feelings on this. It is not about the time away from college athletics, it is about the responsibility of a person that is going to CRAWL back into college athletics because of CONTACTS. Remorse, that was gone in a day.

You and I both know that Evans has turned over a new leaf. Right?

With Evans returning, in my mind, goes to show just how far value and ethics have slipped. Anyone reading this believe that Evans "red panties" athletic director at UGA has changed, and is now ready to lead young men and women? Trust him with your daughter? Not me.

What the hell is it at UGA. Donnan and a ponzi scheme, Evans and his escapades. All of this happened under the current President that will remain at UGA in another capacity. Why leave? The money is good. Where did the current President of the university watch the JA concert, from his enclosed area. New president coming in, appointed whether we like it or not under the current administration. Damn, just damn, sounds like Washington, D. C. in Athens to me. If I am wrong in my thoughts, one of you learned folks put me on the path of TRUTH. Anyone taste the Presidents food prior to him eating? Just asking . . . .

VD, seems you had a lack of understanding when it came to being an Athletic Director. Want to shoot some hoops VD? Know a coach (ex-coach) that has ideas. Be hard to find him, seems he has dropped out of sight. Something about cheating, much like the ponzi football coach.

Sure glad that Erk moved on, aren't you VD? By the way, how is your son doing in Dallas, not much of a hit wearing the urange in Tennessee. Sweet thing about son, folks in Tennesse found out much quicker than Georgia faithful did about the BS that you brought to UGA.

At best, two or three responses. Hard to share foxholes with those that refuse to shovel.

Buc, for me......

1. have said before and will say again, the whole world is "going to heck in a handbasket"
2. I'm personally not going to waste my time or brain cells over Evans
3. I have made many mistakes in my past that I'm not proud of so I won't be picking up any "stones" for sure
4. would like to think I can forgive people BUT...."fool me once, shame on you, fool me TWICE, shame on ME!!

Again, for me.......life goes on, may not like or agree with alot of it but also realize there was only one perfect Man.

About all the thoughts I can/will muster up on the subject of Evans....:)

After posting, thought about the article wlayton. Maybe a bit too harsh, as I also believe in second chances. Also believe that second chances come in limited numbers. Evans hit a nerve with me not only for his arrogance and disrespect, but the cloud he put over the University of Georgia. Self serving, single mindedness.

Guess the thing that bothers me the most is "Leadership" . . . . pulling these shenanigans, and then passing out restrictions to our young players when they make a mistake, or get caught red handed breaking the rules. It would be hard for me to believe that this was the first time or the only lady friend that Evans had spent time with.

Driving while intoxicated, lots of folks that have had a few too many often times do cry, maybe I should say shead tears. Using his position in life to try and get the patrolman to overlook his mistakes, some think that they are above it all.

This article had to show up on boards that are read by the Bulldog Faithful. Makes it a bit tougher to jump on Auburn when we have episodes that our leaders fall into that are pretty nasty.

Thanks for posting your thoughts on the subject. Time will tell.

Buc, I know exactly how you feel and where you are coming from.......for sure.

We are all "called upon" to forgive......not easy at times but I'm trying to live by the Word given to us all.

Hopefully he has learned from his mistakes but if he hasn't yet, we all know he WILL in time.

We all love UGA and can understand feelings one can have when someone/anyone hurts our beloved University.

Always respect you and your thoughts......your love for UGA is unquestionable!! :)
