Could Not Resist . . . . Short Timers For Sure!!

Mark Bradley.

Another failure in the Cox Enterprises Clan.

Below he tries to lay some ground work to release Mark Fox. Such a simple person Mark Bradley is.

Normally I am 99% about UGA Football Talk. However, the other 1% of the time I have to peruse the "stuff" that Mark Bradley and his cohorts bring to the table. Makes me wonder if there is anything on the table that the Cox Boys bring that does anything to improve sports or coaching in the State of Georgia.

I have been around sports in Georgia for more years than Mark Bradley and the rest of the Cox Boys have combined.

Now the Cox Family wants folks to join their site, not surprising, they sure as heck do not sell newsprint.

Internet is here and the Cox Group does not seem to understand that there are more complete articles written by those that don't have press passes.

The information that anyone gets from the AJC only happens because folks like Mark Bradley and the boys are working for the Cox group. Not one of the pea pods that are on the payroll at the AJC could stand beside true journalist. Such as, Jesse Outlar and Furman Bisher. They come and go these days, the AJC "cubbies" will soon find out.

ESPN and the SEC know that they don't need the lack of skillful reporting that the AJC cubbies bring to the public. Won't be too long when names that are listed in the AJC will no longer carry those press passes.

More to be said. One paragraph taken from the AJC. Read the column, some things never change. How are those clicks coming on the internet, probably not much better than the newsprint. TRUTH.

That sounded good then. It sounds good now. But when a coach is about to enter Year 5 and his record is 65-63; when his best (and only winning season) came in Year 2; when he just took the SEC player of the year and went 15-17 at a time when SEC hoops was at a 30-year low, and when that player has made himself available for the NBA draft ... well, inquiring minds might well be justified in asking how long is long enough.

Cubbies, ask yourselves one question . . . . Was our Basketball Program better off because we had said player. I understand, you folks don't.

Took another look at MB's lack of depth . . . .

Really?

The difference between the AJC and the Athens Banner-Herald. The difference between Mark Bradley and Marc Weiszer. Easy to understand.

Folks, the AJC has this thing about getting to bed early. Some are lazy, (Michael Carvell)
some I guess are too old to stay up past 8 p.m. Did not call HIS name, we know.

Marc not Mark, understands presenting subject matter to those of us that have to be hand/spoon fed.

Below is an article written by Marc Weiszer. The type of reporting that makes sense to me as a long time follower of UGA football. Marc covers all sports, but in my opinion distinguishes himself when he is on the subject of football, UGA football.

Then we have the bunch from the AJC. Go over to their sports site and 90% of what you will find is the entire group playing on the negative. Sometimes a couple of the reporters will actually take the time to research and produce copy worth reading. These are the same folks that carry the press passes that Mark Weiszer carries.

If they can play on the negative as hard as they do, makes one wonder why they often come up short on the positive. Is there nothing in Athens that suits that group? If that is the case, stay the hell away from Athens. There are many on the internet that are days ahead of the AJC reporting both good and bad. Many that use the internet are not blogging because they need "clicks", they are expressing views that don't put a dime in their pocket.

A dying breed that roosts in Atlanta. As the internet continues to grow, the ways of the past trying to control the happenings in sports, in and around Atlanta will self destruct.

Never have I witnessed Mark Richt ready to come away from the podium as he did last season when another so-called "reporter" challenged him in a back handed way. Did not take that jerk long to apologize and eat his words, easier to swallow than teeth. Seems to be the mentality of the Roosters in Atlanta.

My opinion. :)
