From Athens- Master's Weekend

Good Morning All,

Now after spring ball we can focus on the Master’s and the coming summer.

Word in Athens this week-“Pollen” - Nice yellow coating of pine pollen covers everything.
I am hoping for rain Friday to wash some of it away.

The big thing for me this spring is the shared attitude that the players and coaches have to get better. Not just the words but the effort and desire to raise their game.

The past two seasons have proven again that there is only one way to change the conversation about Georgia football.

Play and win games against good teams and get better with each game.

We have learned the value of quality depth on both sides of the ball and what experience brings.

Another point is Russ and this group will show up and play hard for the entire game. We won’t back away from anyone. Fear the Ear!

I have not heard who will be part of the summer workout programs but I tend to believe that this group we be all in.

Summer is the time to work on the finer details of getting stronger and better.

Show up for fall camp in football shape and ready to earn a starting position.

On to summer and getting ready for the Battle of Lake Hartwell 2013

YD1 I'm inspired to believe that the Dawgs are back from the years of "ya'll owe me" players and selfishness. I started to feel this way just after signing day when I realized that no one,inside the program, complained to loudly about the apparent losses of some highly rated recruits. What I heard instead was a determination by the team that we had the ones we need to be successful. I believe they are right!

Not much to say at this point but will have to say I'm feeling much better about the D and the upcoming season than I was 2 months ago......we'll see how the D continues to work and improve.

Imo the DAWGS are back in the eyes of CF as a serious contender for a NC going forward.

Believe the coaches, players, Russ and the fans are "all in", at least very optimistic.

The "island" is up for sale....any takers?....probably not now.

It was bought for back taxes by none other than myself.

I am working hard this summer to make repairs after the flat world people made there glass half empty concert mess following last years showing in Columbia.
