yankeedawg1, it is a special treat for me when I see our offense able to move the ball at the level we do. I am a believer in running the football also, however do know that a good passing game makes for huge yardage in the running game. No longer three yards and a cloud of dust as it was back in the day. Sometimes change is a good thing.
Many years back I spent a lot of time training bird dogs. Good for the soul to get up before sunrise and load the pointers and setters and head to the fields. Nothing like watching the dogs as they are unloaded and see the brightness in their eyes, ready to please those that will enjoy the day with them. On point and dogs backing, what a sight. "Georgia" I am sure was rewarded for her efforts.
Oops, got off course there. Yep, happy with what I see going on in Athens. We will know quickly just how much progress Todd Grantham and his band of coaches have made in a relatively short period of time. Most of these young players don't remain in school for the full term, very important to catch on to the system quickly if they have their eyes on the NFL. Forty times won't by itself get them into the NFL, have to understand the game of football. Grantham likes to teach, he now has that in his lap. I say go Grantham.
Should hear the pads popping from where you live yd1. What a great sound it is! There will be some serious position battles starting Tuesday. Gloves come off.
