CMR spoke this week about us giving up some size up front on “D-Line” and how it would come into question when playing smash mouth SEC football. He also spoke about how well these new guys run and have good sense for the football.
Buc, I am with you, having a guy who is 330Lbs and out of shape vs player at 300lbs cat fast, strong and motivated like we have on our front 3 now will be a huge bonus.
Word is we have a solid group of hungry linebackers who don’t lack in size (JHC is a hybrid LB and safety) what he lacks in size he makes up in speed and talent. In time he will add the size, Father Joe has him under his wing. Good thing is JHC is paying attention to all his coaches.
Unlike 2010 when everyone was trying to learn and play at speed the 3-4 this group has experience with both CTG and his program. IMO we are reloading not rebuilding. Time for the next man up to show up. I feel we will be pleased to get to know this group.
We will have quality depth and players who can mix in at different positions.
Something we have not been able to enjoy in recent memory. A very good thing!
We may start as a no name “D” but by the time we make our way to JAX names and jersey #’s will be spoke of by the heads. Bank It!
I was happy that all the coaches were acknowledged with a pay increase. Keeping this group together will pay dividends.
Let’s get past spring break without any headlines and suspensions. Amen…..
Pause and Give thanks
Remember those serving our country and are away from home and family
Have a great weekend and a safe week
As always “Go Dawgs”

Noticed that AM made mention of the players returning on the offensive side of the ball, said they were on top of their game, did not miss a beat. AM knows the amount of talent he has to play with. Mike Bobo will give AM full run this season on changing plays at the line, even more so than before.
For my money, believe that JCH is going to play safety, more so than linebacker. That I believe is the position that will make him a high draft pick in the NFL.
Get some rush from the defensive front, will probably see a lot of 5 defensive back sets this season. Believe we have the talent to make other teams take note. Like this cross training that Grantham and company have instituted at UGA. This is the year it should pay huge dividends.
With you also on the reloading. Could have some very good years ahead.
On my way to the VA this morning, get to share some time with some very honorable folks.
Glad to see you back yd1, high five to "Georgia".

With the 3/4, I would be a little concerned being undersized for that D with the front 3. Don't care how quick and agile you are if you are facing BAMA's OL.....uh, WALL, that averages 330 lbs (or so). Does the word "snowplow" come to mind??
I still like using the 4/3 against teams like BAMA, LSU etc that run downhill and the 3/4 against spread teams like A&M, Ark etc.
Btw....did you all read what AM is doing on spring break??....see below:
While his teammates are away on Spring Break next week, Murray will be hard at work.
On Saturday, he'll travel to Norman, Okla. where he'll train for a week with noted quarterback coach George Whitfield.
Murray worked with Whitfield - based out of San Diego - at last summer's Elite11 in Calif., and along with Ohio State's Braxton Miller, will train with the coach for six days while he's in Oklahoma working out former OU quarterback Landry Jones.
"I've had my share of fun spring breaks," Murray said. "I need to make sure I'm ready to go this season."
Talk about leadership and maturity.......(plus getting ready for the next draft.....think those guys can get him to grow 3" before next year?)
