AJ Turman -- Real Deal

AJ Turman -- Real Deal was created by Buc
Been a while since mentioning AJ Turman.

Picked the following link up today, took notice that someone out there in the national media has the time to mention AJ, especially when everyone is talking about other backs, 2014 running backs, which is a good thing.

Know that before 2013 is over, AJ will be a name that most UGA fans will like to see with the ball in his hands. Could be a redshirt year, that is the only reason to think that he won't be playing this season. Thinking here is that Mark Richt/Mike Bobo will use AJ. He will not disappoint.

Many in the State of Florida have scratched their heads, wondering how AJ escaped the D1 schools in Florida.

Reminds me a bit of the recruiting of Marshall and Gurley, most of us, maybe even the coaches were not thinking of Gurley being the starter. Call it anything we want, Gurley is the starter for UGA. Will improve our chances of Marshall getting better and better, love competition.

Going to post two links. One was posted featuring AJ Turman some time back. I have watched the link and talked to some friends about this young warrior . . . . he is that.

Judging by the video he isn't afraid to run over folks, hopefully that trend will continue at the college level.

The thing I like the most about those videos is:

1. He's got long strides but still runs fast (that stride looks like Herschel) and
2. He looks like a North/South runner - not wasting much time dancing around.

Thriller I was hesitant to say that he reminded me of someone, but, you hit the nail on the head, he hits the hole and the next thing you know he is 5 yards upfield. Now to put on some weight and muscle.

AJ will probably tip the scales at or close to 210 at 210/215 he was running a SOLID 4.5 forty. Don't usually get too hot on the 40 times, but running behind his pads, as he does, not a fun guy to tackle.

AJ has played against some really good football teams in Central Florida. Reminds me of a certain #3 in Athens. Would love to see these two running backs have a forty race, much like Marshall and Mitchell had prior to the 2012 Season. For sure both don't flinch when it comes to contact.

Edit: Would like to add that AJ is one of those backs that knows HOW to put the football in the endzone. Lot of backs are very good, but some just don't or can't smell the endzone strong enough.

Really going to be something to see AJ after he has been with S&C. Strength and speed will get better. That is scary.
