Go Dawgs!

Good Morning All,
What a difference a year makes. Last year it was all about the “O” and how it would perform.
This was before IC made a career changing move. We had no clue about what a Gurshal was/is.
Flak was still being sent CMB way. How many would have bet we would have a passing game to our TE’s and backs before the season ended?
OMG a receiver screen pass for a TD!
Don’t think for a minute that AM will not remember the back shoulder fade to #4
Our backs can catch the ball both have good hands-a very good thing
Expect some real fireworks from this “O”- no deer in the headlight look-business from the first snap. Am and his merry band of dawgs will be ready for the “Battle of Lake Hartwell” Book It
Pages of questions about how we fix our defense and what can we do to stop the run.
Anyone remember the year 1972 and the No Name Defense?
While we may be young and don’t have a marquee name-yet on defense I sense that this group well come with a attitude and enjoy hitting you.
We made a good hire for our DL coach,CCW will bring to our D-line what CWF has done for our “O” line.
As Buc says he will coach them up.
KG has moved on so there is another opportunity for the next man up.
I think it was time for CRG to move on. Good for all parties.
As I said last week and several times in the pass.
CTG understands he is a work in progress, Pro to college- DLC to DC at a major college in the SEC.
From what I have seen and heard around campus he works himself as hard as he does his players. No short cuts for CTG.
I am keeping my fingers crossed that he gets it right.
We need to give thanks to the S&C coaches IMO there was a big improvement in this area.
Going to be a warm weekend in Athens-70 plus a shot at a record high Saturday
Grill and cooler time after pruning shrubs
Pause and give thanks
Have great weekend and a safe week.
As always “Go Dawgs”

Thanks YD...
I agree on RG.. Time for a change there. One thing I've always said is that if you don't want to be here... leave.
His heart wanted to go back to Auburn.... then he needed
to go.
I'm not worried about it. We made a good hire to replace him from my point of view. We send lots of D linemen to the NFL, and it seems they perform there better than they did here even when what they did here was pretty good. Thinking players like Gino Atkins here... good for us.. 4th round pick by the Bengals, but he was a monster for Cincy.
Saw that FSU pledge DE Davin Bellamy tweeted that his only
problem with UGA left and went to Auburn. Never heard a recruit say something like that before.
Change 'aint always bad.

Good Friday Morning Wart,
Spot on about change needed and it being a good thing
I can't help but think that the new CMR may have held the door for CRG
That is not without thanks for the work he put in at UGA just time to turn the page
We all knew that sitting on the hand we were holding would not cut it
Looking forward to the fall already
Have a great weekend... Go Dawgs

Allow me this.
Richt released Willie, we benefited from that move. imo.
There will be a lot of stories about Garner, regardless whether true or not, personally believe it was time for another change on the defensive side. That change of heart did not occur overnight.
Do not believe that Grantham was the only person that had a hand in hiring Wilson. Couple of things have been said that show the coaches as a group are putting their heads together. A good thing. imo.
Wartdawg go along with your statement . . . . change ain't always bad. Sometimes the mere mention of change can turn a program or business around. Come to think about it, guess college football is a huge business.
God bless.
Edit: yankeedawg1 on your post #3 . . . . BUMP!

I'm not trying to diss Coach Garner. Sometimes though a new voice just needs to be heard. Maybe his methods didn't really translate well to how the line needs to perform in the 3-4.
Anyway, not trying to diss him. I'm just not worried about
him leaving. Even worst case I see it as a lateral move for us, and best case is a move up.

Good morning yd1....as always...thank you.
Not going to hurt that DeAndre Hopkins is leaving Clemson for the NFL....one less BIG worry.
D.....believe they will start out as a "no-name D" but will emerge in the 2nd half of the season with several players that will have gotten our attention and praise. Actually believe they could be a better unit, playing as a team with something to prove.
Wilson is going to be a very good DL coach....like Wart said, change can be good and worse case is a lateral move....no downside to the hire imo.
Everyone have a great weekend.
