UGA welcomes Chris Williams was created by Wartdawg
Former Miss St D line coach Chris Williams has agreed to take the same position at UGA, replacing the departed Rodney Garner. Before coming to MSU in 2010, Williams coached defensive ends for Oklahoma where he also served
as their special teams coordinator. In his last year at OK, that defense finished 5th against the run.

WD, good news imo......MSU has been pretty physical in their D-lines in the past. Good hire.

He seems to be a part of a lot of D's that are solid against the
run, and I like he fact he's got some special teams experience.
He's also functioned as a D-coordinator or asst DC, so he's got some play calling experience as well.
Seems like a pretty solid hire to me.

Is it just me or does he look kind of like a younger Forrest Whitaker from that picture in the news section of the site?

Wartdawg, think performance grades often times show just how much "talent" is being developed at any school. Noted football schools seem to get the players they want.
If Williams turns out to be that missing coaching link on the defensive side, will make many of us happy campers. For sure the 2013 schedule and the players leaving this year for the NFL will tell us a lot about defensive line development. Defensive line and run stopping abilities will be watched closely.
I am all for Chris Williams relocating in Athens. He seems to be "juiced" also.
