Next man up!

With the news that Big John has the academic equivalent of a broken leg, it's time for Kwame to step up! Injuries happen, and we've been lucky this year to dodge the seemingly inevitable loss of a star to pot, or theft , or academic ineligibility, until now . . . :(

At Mark Richt's press conference last week the question was asked about eligibility (academic). Said that would be addressed in Orlando. Strange that the question was asked at that particular point. Someone in the press knew, or had heard rumblings, therefore the question.

If Jenkins thinks this does not make the NFL powers take a closer look at his overall, he is missing the boat. Times in the 40 are not the only criteria for being selected early. (Where the big bucks are). Some folks don't catch on as quickly as others, but this does not appear to be the case with Jenkins. Something missing here.

Nail on the head, Buc! Nobody flunks a class and doesn't know it for several months. I once thought I was going to flunk organic chemistry (probably NOT the class Jenkins had trouble with) only two weeks into the quarter. I tried to "drop/add" my way out, but Dr. Franklin laughed at me and told me to shut up and buckle down. I got a B. This story was "out there" a long time ago.

Edit: Also, you get a "bingo" for your observation of the NFL. Like it or not, illiteracy contributes to social issues, which cause problems even in the NFL. Fact, not opinion, and one that Goodell is ALL TOO AWARE OF. Attention, Mr. Jenkins - the NFL IS watching. There's more than ONE big nose tackle out there to be taken in the draft.

Truth!! thriller.

Another thought. This might be the game that Kwame Geathers really shines. That could cost us another player leaving for the NFL. Not like the NFL is not watching all of these games.

Yes, sounds like someone knew there would be fallout from failing classes. Glad it wasn't more. Good news is that it looks like Avery Jones may be back. We will need him. Not much experience on the DL right now.
