Congratulations Matthew Stafford...

Congratulations to Matthew Stafford for becoming the Detroit Lion's franchise leader in career completions, and being part of the tandem that enabled Calvin Johnson to break Jerry Rice's 17-year-old single season receiving yards mark. Stafford is 7 attempts away from breaking the record for most attempts in one season, set by Drew Bledsoe in 1994.

Bitter rivals in college, Stafford and Johnson now spend their Sundays putting up insane numbers in garbage time for a team that's about as relevant to football as Charlie Sheen is to the Oscars.

You know, I was never that impressed with Stafford while he was at UGA. Yes he has a strong arm but I do not think he is accurate nor do I think he is a good leader. Sorry to trash the guy but that is how I see it. I know the Lions are a perennial bad team but with the weapons that Stafford has at his disposal there is no excuse for losing.

Interesting....the Lions are the #2 offense in the NFL......not so sure it's Stafford's fault.

Correction.....believe I saw it correct in this morning's paper that NOW the Lion's offense is #1 in total offense in the league.

He is 32-for-35 on field goal attempts this season, which is tied for the second most field goals made in the league.

I wonder what made the difference this year for Mr. Walsh?

thriller, I heard that their "kicking coach" (or somebody) made one small adjustment to his technique and he's been lights out ever since.


(uh.....doesn't hurt kicking in a dome and off carpet either)
