Ken Malcome. If I were asked by Ken what should I do . . . .would not hesitate to say, transfer Ken. There is no doubt that KM can play football for a lot of schools, and by that I mean, a lot of playing time. KM is a very good football player, he like a lot of young folks just happen to find themselves in situations that don't allow them to use their talents.
Maybe I could use this example to relate what I am trying to say to KM and others.
Mark Richt was a good football player, Miami gave him a scholarship back when many folks wanted to play for UM. He was just good enough to sit behind Jim Kelly. Just the way it was.
Mark Richt landed in the pros, no small task, not every college player gets the chance. What happened, along came John Elway.
To Richt's credit, he did not let that stop him, linked up with Bobby Bowden and the rest is out there for all of us to see. By the way, Mark Richt does have a National Championship Ring.
Think that the same could be said for Hutson Mason. I believe that AM is coming back, would have rocks in his head not to do just that.
All of us each year about this time, start looking over the young men coming out of high school and we start to think that they are going to be all that. Nine times out of ten, that is not the way it works. Like moving up in grade or high school, always more to learn than the level we just graduated from.
If this incoming class keeps 90% of the young men that say they are coming to Athens, all of them will not play. Some will seldom see the playing field, if at all. That is football at the next level. Big jump and change from high school to college, same applies when the NFL comes calling.
Ken Malcome, if you want to play football at the college level, be smart, you know what has to be done, you did it one time before. You are too good to sit on the bench, but you will be hard pressed to play between the Hedges with the current running backs. Most on this board and others thought that Marshall would be number one, we all saw what happened with Gurshall.
I am on your side KM, again, be smart play for a university that NEEDS someone that has your talent, and you are very talented.
Just thinking again to myself . . . .

It was certainly a good turn of fortune for Jarvis to land in Athens. Many thanks to a young warrior that is above all else . . . . a Dawg. Below is a clip that probably many have seen, if not . . . .

Now it may go something like this......say the Tide actually loses to the Irish....pride in the SEC may bring them back for one last try............or..........the Tide win it all again and they decide to come back to prove a point and win #8 for the SEC.....after beating the Tide for SEC Championship in 2013........
Risk of injury is the biggest factor........
I know I know far fetched but stranger things have happened........and yes I am a bit crazy at times.....

ogredawg wrote: ya know it would not suprise me that with AM coming back and this talent on offense, that maybe just maybe JJ might come back and talk a few other underclassmen to come back to "Finish the Drill". We know that $$$$ is a big lure to these young men and to achieve at the next level, but I am just thinking (however slim it may be) that they do come back. after all they do have "Unfinished Business".

ogredawg, after reading your post, have to say this. I have had some of the same thoughts, especially after watching the video. Jarvis Jones does not follow, he leads.
Brother, would not be surprised to see JJ come back for another shot. Allow me to rephrase that, I would be surprised, but I would not be floored. Maybe you, growl and myself are a bit "twisted", that however is what makes us who and what we are.
Came up on the board tonight to say . . . . sure hope that Kwame Geathers comes back. He was awesome all year, but especially after the half-way point.
ogredawg, growl, I really like what I have seen from this group of UGA Football Players. We went through some "stuff", but these are the type of folks that will bring us back to being respected. Single biggest word in my vocabulary is RESPECT. ogredawg said to you in another post, see Greg at my VA in Viera, Florida, he wears his colors well, and he is one that understands RESPECT. VD loved him. Still looks like he could "dress out" and play the game.
Thank you for saying that, now I know that I am not the "only" crazy old fart on this board.

Edit: Guess that I was chicken spit to say what you said.
