Go Dawgs!
From Athens -Proud to Be a Dawg was created by yankeedawg1
Good Morning All,
Earlier this spring I shared with you how I became a Dawg after moving to Athens in 2003.
I asked that you share with me/us how you came to pull for Georgia
Again to those who took the time thanks for sharing your memories such as the sweetness of the “Coke’s” to just the right size ice to chew on. The smell of a cigar and maybe some spike added
to the coke’s to ward of the chill of the day.
The voice of Larry Munson bringing the game alive on the radio- a treasure.
Plus many more!
During this week it was interesting to read how each of you felt and the support given to our players and coaches for their total effort in the SECCG.
None of us like to lose-period- and second place sucks in any game.
Moral victories tend to be without much substance
For you flat earth people that think there has not been a favorable change taking place with our football team over the past two seasons I for one have no clue as to what in the hell you been watching.
Don’t call out the USC game as a sign that there was no progress or improvements made for the entire season. The lessons learned from this game paid dividend this past Saturday
Those who know the game of college football have a clear understanding of just how much the “Dawgs” have improved (Changed) and what is taking place in Athens.
CNS’s comments about the Bulldog’s not just after this year’s SECCG but going back to last year confirm IMO that we are moving in the right direction.
He is keenly aware of the player talent and coaches we have leading our program.
That clearly we pose a challenge not to be taken lightly- last Saturday was proof of his concerns.
There are coaches (teams) thankful they don’t have Georgia on their schedule
Several points going forward:
The players we have returning and the recruits coming in will continue to raise the talent level and depth.
Players and coaches on the same page both working to get better each game-progress
Valuable playing (game) experience for the next man up on both sides of the ball
Lastly the return of pride and passion in our football program
Many of us here had an idea that this season held special promise.
We just didn’t know how special and how it was to come about.
Proud to be a Dawg
Pause and give thanks
Have a great weekend and a safe week
As always “Go Dawgs”!

Two things....you mentioned Pride and Passion is back in UGA football, couldn't agree more
Even though the Dawgs aren't playing this weekend.....a cool one for you to celebrate the Army/Navy game!!
Have a great weekend everyone. :woohoo: :woohoo:

yankeedawg1, forgot to mention this morning that this is December 7th, a meaningful day in American history. In 1940 a lot of good men and women lost their lives in Hawaii. Some refer to that group of folks as the "Greatest Generation". I agree. Lots of football games have been played and enjoyed because of the men and women that gave so much to so many. God Bless America . . . . proud of the Red, White and Blue.
Red, Black and Silver rates very high also.
