Good SEC Championship afternoon Bulldog Nation! It's been a long season with many lows & several highs but here we sit today with a chance to control our own destiny...can't ask for more than that can we?

I haven't posted ALL season long but I haven't missed reading every single post in every single thread all year long. I got married to the love of my life, an Auburn alum (please forgive me) on 8/25/12 just 2 days after my 34th birthday. On my honeymoon, I woke up early to watch the Dawgs season opener against Buffalo while the morning sun was rising over the mountains of Hawaii at 6AM island time. Enough about me though, I am posting today because I wanted to share my thoughts with my brothers & sisters here on Dawgs.com. The following is a text message I sent to about 10 of my best friends (all rabid Dawg fans) earlier this morning as I sat rocking on my front porch in Newnan, GA watching our Georgia/Auburn House Divided flag wave gently in the morning breeze with my 100+ pound Uga aka Russ statue by my side:


On opening day I asked you, "could this be OUR year"? Well, I believed it was then & I STILL BELIEVE TODAY. What do YOU say Dawg?! I say we bark so loud they hear us from Tuscaloosa up to South Bend! I say Shawn Williams & an angry pack of Junkyard Dawgs are ready to inflict pain for 60 LONG minutes! I say it's time to HUNKER DOWN & kick some Bammer rednecks in their collective tooth! The Big Dawgs are hungry & stinking elephants are on the menu! Bama don't even want to know, WHAT'S THAT COMIN' DOWN THE TRACKS? The Red & Black are ready to take this party to South Beach! Today is going to be one of the GREATEST days ever to be a Georgia Bulldog! It's OUR time to shine...let's GATA & WIN the SEC Dawgs!!!

GooseDawg78, has been noticeable that you have been away from the board. As always anytime one of the folks that have been around for a while go missing . . . . we send out an all points bulletin. You cover your tracks well Goose.

Three o'clock and can't remember when I have been this nervous or wanting to watch our Dawgs more.

Have watched some of the talking heads tell us why Alabama will win this game. Concensus seems to be that Alabama has been here before and they are more at ease.

I say, hope we are higher than a Georgia Pine. Remember your comments about "could this be our year". I say HELL YES, MY BROTHER.

Congratulations on your marriage, those closest to us sometimes make mistakes, never know, even the folks from Auburn can be converted.
