Marlon Brown done for season

Georgia has lost wide receiver Marlon Brown for the year due to an ACL tear inflicted on him by dirty Ole Miss safety Trae Elston:

This one hurts. Glad we don't have any big games left in the regular season. Hopefully, the coaching staff will make good use of whoever replaces him and get them some much needed catching experience in these last 3 games here, in preparation for the SEC championship game and the bowl.

Hate to hear that about Marlon. He stepped up this year and is a DGD! Good luck in the pros....

Yep . . . this one really hurts . . .

Current stable:

Tavares King
Malcolm Mitchell
Rantavius Wooten
Rhett McGowan
Justin Scott-Wesley
Chris Conley

and all the rest. We can still field a very respectable group - BUT we can't keep losing guys from here out! NO MORE INJURIES, PLEASE!

Edit: [Also need to add Corey Moore to that list . . . apparently he STARTED the game at wideout!]

The good news is MM and TK will lead. The whole receiving corp is about equal in my mind. Love the way MB catches the ball and has come on this year but we should be fine. I think McGowan needs to play more as a great "possession" receiver. Has great hands....he'll step up. The corp is still pretty strong and don't forget Rome seems to be stepping up now as well. Maybe his time now.

Plus we may be using the RB's and TE's more now. Could open up the WR's more. Fortunately the WR's were a strength and deep at the beginning of the season.
