An Open Letter to Mark Richt, et al...

WE SHOULD NOT have to place our future in the hands of another teams failure! WE SHOULD control our OWN destiny!! After the performance this week we DO NOT deserve to play for the SEC Championship!! Atleast we did something as a TEAM! From the coaches all the way down the line!! I just don't understand it.....I guess it's bc I'm not in the "arena" but how can we never hang with a top 10 team!? CMR reminds me of the coach off the "Waterboy" when it comes to playing against Saban, Miles and Spurrior!! It's like he's intimidated by them! We "the tax payers if the State of Ga. and all the fans who buy tix to the game" pay you millions CMR to WIN NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIPS!! Not just to win 10 games a year!!! You maybe happy with that but the ones who pay your salary ARE NOT!!! Stop sugar coating everything and GATA!!!

Saturday night was bad enough but prepare yourselves for at least 2 more years of losses to CSS.
If Richt couldn't beat him this year, I seriously doubt he'll be able to. Ever. I don't know the exact statistical record but IMO, UGA on average, typically beat USC 4 out of 5 years since the beginning of the series. Now, Richt has allowed the tide to turn the other direction and unfortunately I do not see it changing.

I've listen and read a lot over the past 3 days from sports writers, commentators, and other college football "experts". They all have the same story in that Richt is far too conservative to lead UGA any further than where they've been. He's reached his own limits. And, Bozo is not an OC that will step out of the box with new and aggressive play calling. He doesn't know how. QB coach? Maybe. Recruiter? Absolutely. OC? Never.

I haven't heard a lot of comments toward CTG. I'm not really sure what's going on with D to be honest. Too much time on the field? Players with the "me" mentality? Maybe Richt has put his hands in the mix. Who knows? But there needs to be vast improvement in the D as well.

What ever happened to a special teams coach? The ST unit is completely lost and non-existent. No other words to describe it.

This 2012 UGA football team has the talent as much (or far more in most cases) as any team in the country. They have more talent than any UGA team has had in quite a long time and it's disappointing they showed up in Columbia without a game plan or even a clue what to do in the face of adversity. The entire team and staff should be completely embarrased and ashamed of themselves for that performance.

I said it years ago and I'll say it again :

UGA will never win the National Championship as long as Mark Richt is head coach.

...and we'll never win even the SEC so long as our strategy involves "hoping" the other team in the east loses two more games.

Hey Richt, watching more film does not fix blocking and tackling anymore than me watching porn makes me a porn star. At some point the word "ACTION" comes in to play.
