According to several tweets, his dad has thyroid cancer, and is having surgery tomorrow.

Hopefully he's down here at Moffit. Good place to get treatment. The hospital next door saved my son and I know many people given a second chance by the docs at Moffit. Lots of hospitals doing good stuff in SW Florida.

LimeyDawg, aware of Moffit for sure. Good friend with leukemia spent some time there. Wonderful hospital, wonderful people.
