A serious question

A serious question was created by sadlerdawg
I know this will ruffle a few feathers, but it's the next morning, I'm sober, rested, and STILL PISSED OFF....so I really want to know----

Is there anyone who seriously believes that richt is the man to lead our team to greatness? Forget all the analysis of last night's game (OL got manhandled, freshman mistakes, turnovers, blah, blah, blah), I'm looking at the last several years of this crap. When is the last time we had a big game against a big time opponent, and showed up prepared and won? The '08 LSU game? The '07 FU game?

When is it enough? I have said many time over the years after our losses that if we played our hearts out, and left everything on the table, and lost, I was OK with that. But when we show up unprepared, big game after big game, and look ridiculous time and time again, who is OK with that?

Most of us were making fun of Muschump at the beginning of the year. I think the FU fans will be making fun of us....again. So much for our 2 year winning streak against them.

I'm just curious who thinks these losses year after year shouldn't be blamed on the captain of the ship and why richt should still be our coach.

Been saying it the last 2-3 years. Time for not only Richt to go but the entire coaching staff needs to be replaced. Time for new blood and ideas. Sick of this crap over the last 3 now 4 years.

The blame is squarely on the coaching staff. Bunch of pretenders......

I've done everything I know not to criticize and give the coaches the benefit of the doubt for the last couple of years, but it is evident and the writing is on the wall where the problem is at UGA. Talent is no problem, except at QB,who is going to follow him after he was clearly scared in the SC game. Really believe the program took a serious hit last night. A lot was evident that had been suspected before and most if not all can be attributed to the coaches. Yes a change is needed. Think we fall out of the top 25 with this one.

Everyone here knows I've been a Richt supporter...I can't do it anymore. In the SEC, more than any other league in college football, it truly is a game of inches. Separation between the best of the best is minuscule, at best. We all know that the separation typically happens in two places...in the trenches, and across the special teams. These are two areas that Richt obviously has no real plans of addressing. Last night, minus a blocked punt which got us exactly nothing, and a decent return from Malcolm Mitchell which also got us nothing, we were thoroughly beaten both in the trenches and across the special teams. We have great talent on this team and I have no doubt we'll continue to recruit great talent...however, under this staff, if we win anything of consequence it will be because superior talent overcame inferior coaching.

Where do you people live? Were you asleep during the banking and housing melt downs? Do you know what really happens in the corporate world? Football is no different.

Should CMR be held responsible for his company's lack of performance? Yes, of course. Will he? No. He'll be given a contract extension for ten wins, which is good enough for the board of directors.

Mark Richt is like the guy in charge of a company with a patent for a device capable of producing free, unlimited energy. Only, Mark Richt continues to use that device to drive a line of those little monkeys who clap cymbals together and which are available at souvenir stands across the globe. As long as people keep buying the monkeys, all is well.

I don't think anyone expects richt to go, we all understand the "status quo" part of the business. Just wishful thinking, and trying to get a different, legitimate answer as to why he should still be our coach.
