The road ahead...

I'd like to be able to declare at this point that if we make it past South Carolina unscathed, an undefeated Dawgs team will take the field in Atlanta. I think that assessment may be a tad premature at this point though, because the reptiles appear to be evolving under Muschamp. They've gotten better every game. I certainly hope the head coach that many Dawgs fans thought Will Muschamp could be circa 5 years ago doesn't decide to make an appearance now, but I fear we may be on the verge of witnessing such an occurrence. I also think that our D has been a little soft so far this season, allowing 20+ points every game to teams we should have held to 2 scores or less, but hopefully that is just because they've never really been in a position where they have had to play yet, given how dominant our offense has been. Still, it worries me about what will happen when we face more potent scoring attacks than what we've seen so far. Ultimately feeling really good about this season though...the most optimistic I've been since before the 2008 squad let us down.

Well, to be fair, the "D" didn't give up 20 last night. CM tossed one away. But your point is well made. Football is an unpredictable game . . . I'm not predicting an undefeated seasons either . . . those are rare in ALL of college football. There are usually no more than 3 or 4 undefeateds out of 120 every year. I hope we are one of them, but I'm not sure of it. Starting slow the way we have this year will be BAD against SEC teams (good ones).

One game at a time. 3-0 is nice but 4-0 would be nicer.
