Go Dawgs!
From Athens- "28" was created by yankeedawg1
Good Morning All,
Just 28 days until T- time in Athens.
This week Georgia and I enjoyed a walk under the full moon and we both were in a reflective mood.
I have and 8 point Buck that has taken over the south forty and Georgia and the buck have reached a peaceful understanding about chasing each other.
Been said it’s funny how the times change.
As a younger man growing up in upstate NY come fall I spent hours cleaning and sighting in my rifle.
Just getting ready for opening day of deer season.
Early freezing mornings walking in the woods. I can still taste the blackberry brandy.
Years of hunting and I never did get a shot off at a buck the size of which I now share my residence
with. Here I am wearing shorts and the temps are in the mid 80’s.
This is not a complaint. I will take sunscreen over goose down and wool anytime.
When we returned to the patio I enjoyed a Jack & Branch while Georgia worked over her rawhide bone with great gusto.
So I asked her if this was going to be a good year for the Dawgs and would she be enjoying a treasure of touchdown treats.
Her reply was, yes she planned on feasting greatly each Saturday without question.
She asked me do we play anyone on our schedule that I think we can’t score points on.
Her next question was with the exceptions of the BSU and SECCG games did anybody blow us off the field last year.
Also do we face a Bama or LSU type defense during our regular season?
She then added this is the third year for CTG “D”. More depth and skill players.
Several key stops last year and we are looking at a completely different season. Those stop will happen this season plus an increase in turnovers caused by our “D”.
She asked me while I was making myself another drink would I please get her a treat.
It’s nice to be king of your castle
I told her I would feel better after we beat USC.
She raised one eyebrow while enjoying her treat and said relax everyone knows dogs eat chicken.
Sound good to me, make mine extra crispy.
Pause and give thanks
Have a great weekend and a safe week.
As always “Go Dawgs”

Man and his Dog, bond cannot be broken.
Same can be said for those that post here about our Dawgs. Bond will always be there.
Years ago I spent many a day walking up on my setters and pointers on point, bird hunting all over the State of Georgia. Trust me yankeedawg1, I know the feeling. End of the day, we had "friends" and that stop called for a pint of "white whiskey" with a serious "bead" when shook.
This weekend I have guests, have ordered 1/2 bushel of green peanuts from Hardy Farms (UGA folks) and we are going to have a serious boiled peanut gathering, this of course goes along with another shrimp boil and SEC football talk.
Good day to you sir and Georgia. Same goes for the others that participate on this board.

Fun post yd1 and certainly hope Georgia is correct. I would like to have that calmness she possesses......especially while snacking on something. I'm usually too uptight, nervous and nauseated to eat when the Dawgs are playing.
Fall is around the corner......can't wait.
Hope everyone has a great weekend and as usual.....a cool one "salute" to you and your Friday posts, yd1.
