Good Morning All,

I am sure you all have seen the below:

Grayson High School recruit Robert Nkemdiche's comment that in order to make his pledge a "done deal," he'd like Clemson to make an offer to teammate, safety Ryan Carter. That he may change his mind about Clemson if Carter is passed over.

The kid has never played a down of college football and now he wants to name who he wants to play with. He already has three of his current high school classmates going to Clemson with him.

Maybe change the school colors and mascot while you are at it.

This is right out of the NBA mindset.

Georgia and CTG must have had a smell of this and why they backed off. Good for us.

This another Train wreck waiting to happen. Inmates running the prison!

Moving on to the week’s weather here in Athens. We had some much needed rain complete with light and sound show. Good chance I will running in the “Weedeater 500” this weekend.

Buc thanks for your addition to my last week’s post. It is never a problem with you adding any comment or content to any thread I start. It was most meaningful and timely. Good on you.

Doing some simple math we are now under 50 days to kickoff. A very good thing!

Not that I want to rush summer away as I still have a few things I need and want to get off the honey do list before the season starts. The WIFE hinted that this weekend would be an excellent time for me to turn the crank and get moving.

I had a cup of coffee with one of the local campus roosters and he feels that both our “O” line and backs will presently surprise us early on. He thinks CWF will show us that putting our faith in him will pay dividends this season.

My read with the new title given to CTG shows both the university and CMR want to be sure that it is clear to Todd they want to have him remain in Athens for an extended period of time.

If he wants to learn and grow into a head coaching position it would make for a seamless exchange for UGA.

Pause and give thanks

Have a great weekend and a safe week

As always “Go Dawgs”

Go Dawgs!

yankeedawg1, recently I have reclaimed my disgust with the ways of college football. As mentioned before, guess it has to do with age.

Takes me back to my military days when a group of young pups arrived on base, not having a clue what was before them. We learned quickly, the lessons learned have served me well over the years. Our leaders made men out of young, disorganized and all knowing pups.

Have read many times on many boards where the comments were . . . . Different time, different social makeup. I am a bottom line guy, and I don't particularly care for much of the bottom lines that I see.

Glad to hear that you folks got some needed rain. Down my way, haven't had a problem with that.

Thanks for the Blue Plate Special . . . I, like many others look forward to Fridays at yd1's place.

High Five Paws to Georgia. . . . Train is coming down the track.

Great posts, Buc and yd1! No Buc, being disgusted with the ways of college football is NOT a sign of age. What was wrong 2,000 years ago is still wrong today, and what was right then is still right today. Got that quote from Mike Ditka at a company meeting where he was the hired speaker, and where he told us he could still coach the x's and o's, but he just can't coach the punks anymore. Nkemdiche is yet another "5 star" athlete, whatever that is, who thinks his mere presence will win games for Climpsn. They get LOTS of those. They don't get LOTS of championships. I'm glad the gangsta went somewhere else. I'm about "gangsta'd out".

Like I said yesterday - I long for the day when a suspension probably meant the kid was late for too many team meetings or left a wet towel on the locker room floor. Felony weapons charges, girl hitting, pot smoking, breaking and entering - I don't care how "cool" any of that stuff seems to the "gangsta" athletes like Cornelius Washington, it's still just plain wrong.

Three good posts this am!!

I want UGA to get kids who want to be there, and lay it on the line for every second of the game... Don't care how many stars!

Tired of Entitled Kids... Where are these kids parents? They are waiting to get rich off of their kids, that's where... Let them do whatever they want, and then get their payday!!

Anyway...

GO DAWGS!

yd1, from "your mouth to God's ears" !!!

I pray this statement comes to pass and my "spinkter" will be able to relax this year. I have total confidence in everything else on the field, so if this becomes remotely true, I think our season could be exceptional (with a few breaks and few injuries).

yd1, thank you as always for the "yd1 Friday Post"..... work hard on the "honey do's", rest later and have a cool one to clear the mind. I'll toast one to you as well.
