Sad news from Athens

Craig "Sky" Hertwig passed away Wednesday. Sky played offensive line for UGA in the 70's and was a fixture in be nightclub scene around Athens. He owned several clubs. I met Sky when I was in school and worked at TK Hardy's Saloon. He was a giant of a man with a heart just as big. RIP my friend.

TN Dawg link worked fine. Many, many years ago I spent some time in the Fifth Quarter with friends. RIP Craig "Sky" Hartwig.

Had many opportunities to meet Sky and talk UGA football. He returned to Athens after his run in the NFL because of his love for the town and UGA. The last time I was in Athens I specifically went to Nowhere Bar to see Sky and hang out a bit. He still remembered me from my days at UGA and hanging out there and shooting pool with him(never beat him, not one game). He was one hell of a nice guy. RIP you ole Dawg you! You will truly be missed in Athens!

Very sad day in Athens for sure! Spent alot of money in Sky's bar "Fifth Quarter" over the years before it closed. RIP Sky!
