Big 12, SEC Make Deal

This deal between the SEC and the Big 12 pleases me to no end.

Been around this football world for a while, one thing that always po'd me to no end was the relationship between the Big Whatever and the Pac Whatever. Did not want to allow the teams from the South to participate in the State of California's Rose Bowl. Don't blame them, check the recent past with the SEC and the Big 12 when it comes to National Championships. If you are scared, say so.

This new alignment will take a lot of the shine off of the above mentioned conferences and their little pitty pat party.

Goes to show that even though we have two new teams in the SEC that were in the Big 12, feelings were put behind those that did not like the change, and the two conferences made what I think was a super decision.

Believe that recruiting will become even stronger for the SEC and the Big 12 because of this move. Don't always agree with Slive, but damn sure agree with this move. :)

This indeed is interesting. Next FSU will bail on the ACC because they and the Big East may be dead.

kentdaddy, really believe that the signing of Josh Cardiello points to what you are saying about FSU and the ACC. Top players below the Mason/Dixon line are going to move a bit quicker to be a part of the SEC/Big 12. X number of scholarships and lots and lots of good and great football players.

Bobby Bowden chose the ACC over the SEC when the choice was made. Can't disagree with his thoughts and thoughts that became true about winning a National Championship. Believe that time caught up with FSU, no doubt in my mind that they will be moving. If they do not, the program will fall by the wayside when trying to be one of the teams that want to participate or have a chance to participate for the MNC.

From where I sit, believe that Virginia Tech will move to the SEC. I would really like to see that, great coach, lots of tradition and they play SEC grade football.

Clip below points out just how much the influence of FSU had on this young recruit.

Good to see you back, board is much improved when you are here.

If FSU and VT leaves the ACC that leaves only Clemson, Virginia and GA Tech as the teams that may have a chance to play in any big bowl games. They will be known as a basketball conference only and not both football and basketball. That's pretty sad for them.

However that's more power to Georgia football to get more recruits from the state of Florida!!!:)
