Go Dawgs!
From Athens - Quick look Back was created by yankeedawg1
Good Morning All,
Spring in Athens.
Thank you God again for blessing me with the opportunity to call Athens my home for the past nine years.
I ran across something that had slipped my mind.
Remember how disappointed we were when Da’ Rick Rogers turned his back on UGA and went to Lameland and the Vols.
Less we forget it provided an opportunity for Kenarious Gates to come to UGA.
Da’Rick has become the poster child for the unrest in Dooleyville while KG has made himself in a quality lineman at a time we so need experience on the OL.
I wish him a break out season and thanks for being a Dawg!
No question Da’Rick has a world of talent but also has baggage we do well without.
Seems we came away pretty well in this trade.
AM made a great point in our local paper about how this years OL was mostly 2nd team last year. Each day in practice they went against the first team “D”.
HM at the start of the season had no time to setup and throw, by the bowl game not only did he have more time but he was able to use all of the playbook.
His point and a good one is this OL is farther along than most give credit for. Also it is year two for CWF. Remember what we saw from CTG in his second year. Things tend to jell in year two.
Time to get after the yard chores.
I need to run practice laps for the up coming “Weed-Eater 500” followed by extensive beer testing.
It is good to be a “Dawg”
Pause and give thanks,
Have a great weekend and a safe week
As always “Go Dawgs”

Spring is in the air yankeedawg1. Amazing how much better it can make us feel.
Football team seems a bit more settled this Spring as compared to the last few years.
Have yourself a good finish in the "Weed-Eater 500". Down my way we run that particular race twice a week. . . .
Go Dawgs . . . coach'em up!

Interesting article about Kolton Houston in the AJC. Call me a bad dawg but I had forgotten all about him since he didn't play last year. His reinstatement would be nice for the squad.

I found the last few sentences of that article to contain an interesting statement from CMR. He said that training had entered the competitive phase and most of the drills were won by the defense. I dont know, but,it sounds like the D has taken up where it left off and the OL is getting a real work out and should at the least have a real good feel for what they need to do to get the job done this year.GO DAWGS!!!!!!!!!!

growl....a tough, potentially top 3 D will only make our O better......especially the OL which is critical. Our D just may be the "unsung heroes" of our O this year.
yd1......you are so right about Rogers, don't need "that" kind of talent in Athens and KG is certainly more critical to the O than another WR.
I prefer to have my "cool one" while watching other guys compete in the "Weed-Eater 500" in my yard. My theory is I've fulfilled my work in that area over my life and want to help the economy by hiring young men with families to run the "race"........I lift my cool one to the "winner".
Don't work too hard this weekend yd1....enjoy!!

Here is betting that Urban Meyer needs several folks to take care of his yard.
Pictured below is his home in Ohio, which the facts of his leaving Florida was passed along to this board before it happened. I have the posts if anyone wants to verify. Folks in Florida are really pp'd about his arrogant butt. Guess he worked for it, and it sure as heck did not take long for him to throw it in the face of everyone in the SEC. Some things are better kept silent.
