Good Morning All,
I have learned a lesson over the past week, that is even when it is quite in Athens there is a great amount of noise just below the surface waiting to break out.
Murphy is well and here in Athens. That which can will happen.
Going forward it is what it is.
I give the coaches credit that they are not spinning a story that there isn’t a depth problem with our secondary.
Fact remains that we need to have young players grow up in a hurry.
Looking over the past two seasons I think CTG will come up with a plan using the players he has available.
Several here have shared this before and I agree.
The man does not shy away from a challenge or a fight if that is what is called for.
Being a leader he takes an adversity and makes a teaching tool out of it.
One of my early mentors taught me, one door closes and another opens.
That’s called opportunity.
I have spoke hear before that all this crap has happened early before spring ball.
We have time to make and work a plan.
Before any of you jump out a window, I am not trying to sugar coat what we are dealing with however, we have the talent, time and the coach to keep this from going nuclear.
From all I am hearing CTG is very happy to be at UGA. Most important his family has rooted within the community. Those close to him report his first love is being a teacher and mentor to his players.
He has their welfare at heart that is what makes him a great recruiter. Players believe and trust him.
IMO we will continue to see a path beaten to Athens by players who want to learn and play for CTG.
In the future it will lead to more stars on the offense, as they will want to play on a team with a highly ranked defense.
With all the challenges in 2012 that we face I like this team’s makeup.
Some tweaking of personnel with our S&C program, plus adding a speed coach with pro experience is a good thing. I here this came about because of a nudge from you know who does not want to hear about runnning out of gas ever again.
Red Buds and Dogwoods at bloom, great time of the year here in Athens.
Master’s and G-Game coming up quickly.
Thunder storms both days this weekend so have to move to inside chores.
Pause and give thanks
Go Dawgs!
