Caterpillar will move it’s Japanese manufacturing operation to a new plant being built in Athens,Ga
The complex will be located at the intersection of Hwy 78 and Hwy 316.
It will open with 850 employees and grow to 1500 with in two years.
Production to start in 2014
Athens will be home to both the Dawgs & Cats

This will become increasingly common as wages rise in China and the transport costs of goods makes building here in the US competitive again.
