Somebody has to make sure that the traditional rivalries are not tampered with. Talk about emoty seats. That would slowly kill the SEC as we know it.................

Yeah... I'm a traditionalist, so I'm not liking it at all. I have been wary of what expansion of the league would mean to the east-west games that take place every year.

Here's how they could save the rivalry - move Auburn into the East Division, and Missouri back to the West. This makes more sense geographically, and it keeps the rivalry intact. Alabama would be Auburn's permanent West Div. opponent, and UGA could take on Missouri as its permanent West Div. opponent. Of course, that does mess up the annual tilt between Alabama and UT. So, no matter which way they slice it, somebody's rivalry is gonna go by the wayside.

OoltewahDawg, like the way you laid this out. Probably at this point UT would not mind missing the annual game with UA. Geographically does make sense. After several years everything will find its place and most will be happy. (If they are winning) . . .
