Well it is only Jan and we have our first arrest. Saw in the paper this morning where he hit his girl friend and left the seen of a crime. I wonder how many more arrest we will have before the fall. I guess we can try to win the Fulmer award is nothing else.

duck, we should see this as GOOD news. All those people who are concerned that Richt is TOO clean and TOO nice should be rejoicing this morning. McGarity probably sat him down and said, "Look Mark, I don't want 30 arrests, but I don't want zero either. Look at LSU and Alabama . . . they had several guys arrested last year, but they didn't win the Fulmer Award. We need a few bad a$$e$ . . . let's up the arrest record this year . . . just a LITTLE." So then CMR instructed Sanders to go beat his girlfriend . . . I'm sure he'll get a few extra wind sprints in practice this spring for that one.

In the article, it said that this was the 2nd arrest within 4 months, after going nearly a year without any. I can't remember who go arrested 4 months ago. I know most of the teams have had arrest, seem like alot lately, I was just hoping that we didnot have to go through this again. It seems like most players in this day and time are nothing but thugs. I miss the old days when kids had respect for themself as well as others.

I consider this a serious offense. Depending on the circumstances, simple battery could be classified as a felony and punishable by fine and/or imprisonment. It could also come under the topic of domestic violence, since it was a girlfriend.

He is not a kid, he is a man acting like a kid. He should NEVER hit a woman. Since I have a daughter, I hope CMR doles out serious punishment. SC must accept responsibility, take the punishment, and hopefully learn from this mistake. Yes, we all make mistakes, but I do not buy the excuse that he is just a kid. Sorry, but this type of behavior is unacceptable.
