Welcome Dawg. I miss the rail road tracks. Sometimes the freight train engine would park there and the guys watched the game.

Kick off 2pm. Radio with Larry. That was real Saturday afternoon football. The good old days.

For winning the Natty give every Dawg a bone AND prime rib steak.

I once worked with a man who's grandfather was engineer on that train.

Interesting TN Dawg. My Grandfather, Fred Brown was one of the engineers on the Gainesville Midland. He ran those tracks and the Winder area also. For many years he had the coal burning steam engines, a few years before he passed they changed over to diesel. Lots of wonderful memories. On Saturdays when I would visit with the Grandparents, my Grandfather would take me on board when they were clearing tracks, called "switch engine" best I can remember. That was done locally in Gainesville, also my time on board was in the 1940's. wow . . . :)

TN Dawg, this is a clip of the steam engines (coal burners) that I mentioned above. Clip is good for a short time, then stops for some reason. Lots of memories. My Grandfather would be covered with black soot at the end of his daily travels. :)
