From Athens - It was AQWIA

Good Morning All,

Earlier this year I used the AQWIA (Another quite week in Athens) for almost two months.

That was before the fertilizer hit the ventilation system with our two former RB’s .

Little did I know that this was just the start of the weekly drama around our running game?

Truth this was AQWIA.

My campus contacts shared that this year’s bowl preparations are focused and like we are getting ready to play a SEC game.

CMR has laid the law down to players and coaches that this will not be a repeat of last year’s mess in Memphis.

CTG wants to show that he first half against LSU wasn’t a fluke.

AM wants to get the second half of the SECCG out of his systems and back to winning. He will !

My early sense is we could be looking at a repeat of the Auburn score.

Like we did in that game in the second half our OL and RB have to step up. Duh how many times have we said this before?

This time starting in the first quarter and staying strong for the entire game. Balance!

Buc, we got us a big Juco OL Welcome Mr. Beard,he will be on campus come January. He is solid above the neck also.

Good News for sure!

This week the coaches and players voted and handed out awards to the players whom earned them during the course of the season.

IC received nothing. I am not surprised.

IC is sitting were we as a program sat last year after a 6-7 season.

There is but one way to change the conversation, as a team we showed how it can be done after going 0-2 this year.

IC has the spotlight, just not the one he or the Bulldog Nation wanted.

Time to fish or cut bait!

Poor Georgia is suffering from lack of touchdown treat rewards.
I told her bowl games will be here soon. Just make do with the Christmas treats.

Oh ! Just a sidebar CMR & CTG missed the local Outback Feast for the team. Seems the both of them were out in state trolling nets for 2012 recruits. Stocking the pantry..a very good thing!

You heard it first here. The 2012 “D” makes Erk break into a full smile and dance. CTG has the players right now to make that happen and more are on the way.

CTG does have the magic just look in his eyes. Don’t believe me ask CLM and CLS they both fully know what we have here in Athens. Lots for them to worry about… not so much about what we did this year but what’s going to happen in the very near future. Love it !!

It is time for me to sprint to the mall this weekend and finish up my Christmas shopping.

Pause and give thanks

Have a great weekend and a safe week.

It great to be a Dawg..let the lizards hear that woof over and over!

As always “Go Dawgs”!

Go Dawgs!

yankeedawg1, all of us on this board want only the best for our football. Think that we have seen a change in coaching philosophy, a change that I am in agreement with.

Said in another thread that Friend is fast becoming one of my favorites on campus. Young fellow hit the ground running and his efforts are going to pay huge dividends for all of us that have been praying for an uplift. Was not disenchanted with Searels, my way of thinking, he got caught up in the "crap" that was going on in Athens at the time, no way to come out of it. Again I pat McGarity on the back, a sit down between Mac and Richt and all of a sudden we are 10-3. Leadership.

Won't go into the IC thing here, have done that elsewhere on this board. SAD.

Read where Richt and Coach Grantham were out on the trail. Hoping that both can live up to the statement made by Grantham about the radius around the Athens Campus and top flight football players and . . . . students that open those book and turn the pages.

Might have to be careful with "Georgia" during the Outback Bowl. If your thought comes true about a score similar to the Abuurn game, "Georgia" could gain a lot of weight.

Thanks for the thread, appears that a lot of us are on the same wave length. Have a great weekend and if you hear anything during the week, pass it along to your Brothers . . . . :)

Mayor wlayton & Buc "Thanks" for your kind words.

Labor of love talking Dawg Football.

Sorry to say my old bones are telling me that the news on IC is not going to be good.

If there was anything out there to pin a positive spin on I feel that would be what we would be hearing.

I also heard he was a no show at the Local Outback lunch given to our team as part of he bowl package. I just always felt he was kind of a loner.

When such God given talent goes to seed and wasted it is truly a sad day. I hope that I am wrong but the slope IC is on does not come with a happy ending. "Go Dawgs"

Thanks yd1! Good stuff as usual...Really glad to hear that we nabbed a O-Lineman (BY FAR, our most pressing need) from the JUCO ranks.
