The final game of the "regular season" is behind us and I can finally step away from the "wait and see" and say what I really feel about this team. I am THRILLED with the season of UGA football that I watched over the past few months. I was one of the literally hundreds of thousands among the Bulldog Nation to shake my head and say "here we go again" after starting the season 0-2.
Instead of seeing the expected collapse, I saw a team come off of a 6-7 season, a pitful showing in a second-tier bowl, depend on a true freshman running back (when present) and wideout to be our "playmakers" not drop another game until playing the best team in college football for the conference championship.
Say what you will...I know this site is about analysis, debate, discussion, etc. and we have an entire off-season to do that; and I'm sure some of you will read this and roll your eyes, but I want to echo what I said in a post a few weeks ago and say thank you to this group of damn good dawgs!
I have a philosophy in life..."always happy, never satisfied." I am grateful for all I have, but will never stop striving to be better. The same philosophy/mantra applies to my being a fan of UGA...I consider it an honor to call myself a member of the Bulldog Nation and will always be happy with the opportunity to watch another season of this game I love so much. But I will NEVER be satisfied with any season that doesn't bring us a national title.
Bulldogs, thanks for making me "happy" about this program and its current direction. Let's take it to Michigan State on national TV, lock-down those last members of our next dream team, do some house-cleaning in the offseason, and come back ready to drop the "3" after this years "10" portion of the record and "satisfy" all of those dawg fans thirsty for a national championship!
It's great to be a Georgia Bulldog!!
