And you people think I'm full of negativity...

The outpouring of open disrespect, loathing, and vitriol for these Dawgs from the media/ESPN has been nothing short of disgusting. I mean, every other comment is how we don't deserve to be where we are, what a soft schedule we played, we are just a formality that LSU has to walk past as a right of passage. It makes me sick. These people are supposedly credentialed journalists who are supposed to be able to report objectively, but they've all taken sides.

They are basically treating us like we don't exist. They act like it's a crime that LSU has to even be bothered to play us rather than just being handed the title outright.

And then they turn around and spew crap like even if we win, LSU should still go to the BCS championship game. I mean, if we suck so bad and are so overrated, then what does that say about LSU if they lose to us?

I hope we go out there and shock the world next Saturday. I want to see these punks actually stand there and say at the end of the SEC championship game, when the score is LSU-something-lower-than-UGA, that LSU is still the best team in the SEC and they deserve to compete for the national championship. It makes me sick. They basically act like we don't even exist.

I hope the players are being shown this drivel and are motivated to toss the BCS into utter chaos. The SEC championship is won on the field through a logical progression of winning your division and then winning the conference championship game. None of this "yeah they were second in their division and didn't play in the conference championship game but they still look cooler and more exciting than this other team over here who did."

If the Dawgs win the SEC title, that's all I care about. If we beat LSU, I'm not even going to watch the national championship game if it features another SEC school.

UGAChemDawg sometime back I presented an observation that sooner rather than later many will wake up and see that Disney/ESPN x how many channels(?) are now exhibiting their power to will rule college athletics.

Quick exmaple on ESPN the main topic was the supposed "classic battle" between Michigan and Ohio State. As soon as Meyer takes the helm at Ohio State, there will not be another college in the country that gets the attention nationally that Urban Liar Crier and Ohio State will get.

Here is hoping that CBS does not totally fold their tent on Southeastern Conference Football. They do however have a couple of announcers that should be working for ESPN as they carry the same poppy cock that the others do.

One thing for sure . . . if one of the Big Whatever schools had played the same schedule that UGA did and came away winning ten straight with the possibility of more, the coverage would have been totally different.

Old farts like myself have been fighting this battle forever. They invaded the South once upon a time, now they seem to be reluctant to return and play real American Football against the folks south of the Mason-Dixon line.

Great win against Georgia Tech, would not classify them as humble pie. Tech would kill Ohio State and Michigan also. One man's opinion.

Still waiting for the NCAA's final ruling on Ohio State, might be that Urban Myer Liar Crier is doing the same. Bailed on Florida after he let the program get away. Thinks that the failure of Florida to remain on a pedestal will fall on Muschamp. Many down this way have long and clear memory banks. Muschamp will probably fail, it will not be because he is the only one at fault.

Agreed 100%. If that happens, I will not be watching (or caring) who wins the "championship" game either.

Meh... I don't let this sort of stuff really bother me. Just
walk out on the field against whomever is on the schedule, beat them, and then don't worry about
anything else.

I'm NOT going to not watch the NC game if we win the SEC, and another SEC school plays for the title. Do you
really think that even sends some sort of message anyone other than you would care about? If anyone
wants to feel better by not watching that game if we
win the SEC, then so be it... but I don't think it would
mean much to me other than missing what could be
a good game. Sort of a cutting off of the nose to spite the face to send a message to someone not even listening.

I'll watch the NC championship game and hope a SEC
school we beat for the conference title wins it. Just makes us look better.

I'm not going to worry a bit about what pundits think or
say either. I don't really care about respect from someone sitting in an easy chair in Bristol, Connecticut.

Plus I still say we have no one but ourselves to blame
for this situation. Beat SC and then if we win the SEC
we are probably in the NC game.

I'm not saying I blame anyone else that we aren't in the NC game. That's not the point. The point is that a possibility exists that two teams that did not win their conference will be playing for the national title, and that is a joke in my opinion. It's not cutting off the nose to spite the face--that kind of indicates I'd be missing a game I wanted to see to prove a point. Not the case. I'm not making a statement to anyone by not watching if that happens--I'm simply stating that I truly do not care who wins that game if it takes place. I'm sure there are plenty of good Div II playoff games going on as well, but I don't care about those so I won't be watching any of those either.

I'll be watching the NC game no matter who plays in it,because I Love College Football. If an SEC team that we beat is in it, then its no different than UGA winning the East. We had a better record than the gamecocks, and if we beat lsu they still have a better record. You cant have it both ways. Just support the SEC! NOW GO DAWGS! BEAT lsu!! SIC'EM!!!

The sun shines on a different Dawg every day
