During the G-Day game they showed the wins/losses percentage rankings of the top collegiate coaches that are active and CMR was ranked 4th on the list in the country. ENOUGH SAID, case closed.

OTOH, look at some of the guys ranked above him who have won exactly squat, not even a division or conference championship...
Jeff Tedford? Dennis Erickson (has there been a job he hasn't been fired from)? Jim Grobe? Houston Nutt???

RxDawgboy, ACTIVE coaches he's ranked 4th. Do you think Coker is a better coach than Richt? he's won a NC (already had a full deck when he got there). Mack Brown? Give me a break !! Today's rankings are what they are, 4th. Next years rankings, who knows? You can only go by current rankings in my book. Besides, he'll get his NC, just give him some time.

No, Coker clearly won with someone else's talent.

Mack has the Crystal Ball.
Winning percentages only tell part of the story. Les Miles has a great winning percentage at LSU. But every time he runs into a good coach he gets schooled.
I have no doubt HCMR will eventually bring home the Crystal Ball. But that is one of the knocks against him right now, that his teams have under-achieved for the level of talent they have put on the field. Until he brings home the crystal ball I have a hard time ranking him higher than some of the coaches that have won recent MNCs.
