This is unsurprising. The Dawgs turnaround this season has been miraculous. From the brink of collapse to SEC East champs. Even if he's not responsible for it, he still gets the credit because it happened on his watch. Just like presidents get praised when the economy is doing well and blamed when it does poorly, even though they're usually just at the mercy of the business cycle.

Is there an award for assistant coach/coordinator of the year? If Grantham doesn't get that, someone needs to...at least revamp the selection process. And he should win the national level award for best defensive coordinator, not just the SEC.
