I'm only going to go back 10 years, but saying A&M and Mizzou are the equivalent of the two Mississippi
schools is a little misleading.
Since 2000 Mizzou is ranked 40th in wins and A&M is 52nd.
The two Mississippi schools during that time are ranked 63rd and 95th.
Since 2005, Mizzou is 18th and A&M is 58th. The two Mississippi schools are tied for 77th.
Oh and During that span where Mizzou is 18th, UGA is ranked 19th.
I think the two additions are a little more than the two Mississippi schools. There are some kids in the recruiting areas involved that want to play in the SEC, and now they can stay closer to home and do it. It's not like we're adding Oklahoma and Ohio State, but these are pretty solid programs, and just being in the SEC will help them recruit better.
