They have the bye week, but this game was, for all intents and purposes, a bye week for us too. Our starters got to stay in their rhythm but also only played one half, and our mischevious running backs didn't play so they'll be fresh for the Deep South's Oldest Rivalry, assuming they can stay out of trouble. I think we've got another classic Georgia-Auburn Dawg fight on our hands next Saturday, but if the Georgia team that's shown up since the second half of the Florida game shows up to play, we'll win it in a close one.
That being said, I actually think we can lose the Auburn game and still win the east. With South Carolina's QB getting a concussion with that massive hit Arkansas put on him, it isn't a foregone conclusion at all that they will beat Florida. This is one of the rare occassions on which I will pull for the Gaytors.
We can not lose to AU because I will never pull for UF! We will seize control of our own destiny and will win and face the west champ.
Think about this scenario. Bama has beaten Arky. LSU has beaten Bama. What if Arky beats LSU? I think the highest ranked BCS team gets the nod. Not probable but it could happen.
