Special Teams Questions

What is going on with our special teams? Who's in charge?

Will BW ever get out of his slump or do we need to find another kicker?

Just wanted to get everyone's thoughts on these issues.

Don't know (are we playing the wrong guys on ST?)...Don't know (this IS the #1 problem, IMO). Hope so, if not, we better get another one.

Imo, I've noticed that the teams with the best ST's are the ones that play their starters. We may have one or two starters on ST's but not many on kickoff coverage....they are AWEFUL.

Do we have a ST coach? Someone told me we didn't. I don't know if they meant there was the absence of one or ours was just not good.

Any way... BW is in a terrible slump. Would not be surprised if that position is not open this week. Leg still seems strong he seems to have an alignment problem. Kick offs are concerning to me also. We were kicking the ball through the endzone. Now we are not. This last game I think we were punting away from return men, but Butler had a few terrible punts.

By far the worse ST effort I have seen out of a UGA team.

Goes to show how powerful one coach can be. We lost Belin, we lost our ST's kickoff coverage.

Belin was as important to our ST's as Grantham was in replacing WM. Fact.

I try to remember this. For the past few years not one thing, many things were a mess, not a small mess, a huge mess. Appears that one by one some changes are being made for the better. There are a couple of things whether it be personal or personnel that need to be looked at.

Let's not forget Walsh's misses in the South Carolina game.
