Go Dawgs!
From Athens - Game Day Friday # 8 was created by yankeedawg1
Good Morning All,
Life is back to normal for me. My jury duty ended last Friday so I have completed my civic duty.
The courthouse is on East Washington Street in downtown Athens.
I was able to reconnect with many of the downtown restaurants and how the UGA campus is such a vital part of our community.
Weaver “D”s still serves the best “3” and a meat for lunch in Athens.
“Automatic for the People”!!!
I am truly blessed to have the privilege to call Athens my home.
This week’s upcoming game in Jacksonville was a hot topic during my lunchtime outings.
The feelings ran 95%- to- 05% in favor of us breaking the streak and starting one of our own. Not much love shown toward Muschump.
Talk about a kid in a candy store is the best way to sum up how CTG feels about having Tree back. Adding CW to the mix makes things even better.
This defense is highly motivated for this game. We had our thud game against Vandy and now have a laser focus on the task ahead in JAX.
Both CTG and AM want this game to start like now.
AM has carried the INT. monkey with him for a year after last years O/T loss. His opportunity will come shortly. He will make the most of it!
Nobody in the world wants to beat the Gators more than AM does.
I am sure there are a large number of us who want the “W” as much but none more.
AM and OC don’t want another summer of hearing about how we can’t beat the urange.
Georgia has enjoyed her bye week and is ready to get back to having her victory reward treats. I am also!
Many an hour these past two weeks we have talked about what’s it going to take for Russ to come out a winner as we took our nightly walk.
From her viewpoint put the game in CTG’s defense’s hands.
Force UF to make plays and work for everything.
Nothing given up easy. Give them zero points off turnovers and ST’s.
Be very physical, and hassle their QB. Add a few sacks just for the pure hell of it. Welcome Brantley back, and then put him on his back.
This would be an excellent game for the “D” to make a statement about laying claim that they are truly on the road back.
“Guys have been in and out,” Bulldogs defensive coordinator Todd Grantham said. “We really haven’t played a game with the guys that we started out as our first 11, but that’s OK, too, because guys have worked hard and we’ve got a lot of mental toughness on our team, on our defense.”
Sounds a wee bit like Erk ?? Building depth and experince.
Not much coach speak comes out of CTG. A very good thing!
OK…. Here we go again back-to-back –to- back- to- back- to- back- to- back wins.
You bet…. I will take another ugly win for sure, that’s not saying that a complete blow out would not be most welcome by all who call the Bulldog Nation home!
Way pass due for a complete game out of this team.
Players and coaches leave the excuses at the hotel before kickoff.
This is the year we get it done. “Big Time”!
Wlayton- My spot on the island is safe for another week!
I look forward to toasting the brotherhood Saturday night.
Be good to howl at the moon in victory!!!
Pause and give thanks.
Have a great weekend and a safe week.
As always “Go Dawgs”

Awesome post, yd1! You da' man!
And thanks for reminding me - Coach Richt is now undefeated in his last 5 games! He is also 4-0 against SEC opponents over his last four games. His team has out-scored his opponents over that same time span as well.  :woohoo:
But seriously . . . this weekend is WIN OR GO HOME time. I'm too fired up to think! And yd1, you just STOKED THE FLAMES!
Finally, you ain't kidding about being blessed to live in the Classic City. It's my home, and I miss it more than you could ever know. I left home 25 years ago last month, and I've been searching for a way back ever since. I'm afraid I'll never find it - but I'll never stop searching.

Thriller,
There is only one time that the results are guaranteed.
That is when you don’t try.
Keep the line in the water and you will find your way back to the “Classic City”.
Eight years ago on a Sunday in December sitting in Chattanooga I shot a resume to a company in Madison,Ga not having clue other than it being in Georgia were in same hell it was.
As they say the rest is history. Don’t keep the faith use it! You will find your way back if that is what you want.
“Go Dawgs “ !!!!

Awesome yd1......if we win, private party on the island....oh, ok, we'll invite everybody.
Hope AM doesn't play too tight because of the 3 picks last year. He has to "go for it" but just play smart. Relaxed and fun......he plays tight from "over trying" and we are in trouble.
Very simple game plan for me......UF is overmatched in this game so IF we don't turn the ball over, we'll win the game.....ZERO turnovers='s WIN.
Oh....nearly forgot....got a cool one waiting for ya my friend.:woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo:

yd1, is Winder close enough???? My wife teaches in jackson county and we live in Winder....we hit Athens up every couple weeks/ take the 3 and 5 year old girls over there regularly to walk the campus of where mommy and daddy wne tot school (brainwashing them for their college days)...I consider Winder a suburb of Athens, makes me sleep betetr at night:)
Gonna be over there in the morning at the pumpkin farm getting the girls their halloween pumpkins, but will be back in plenty of time to do the crab boil.
My beer is cold.......the spinach dip is waiting to be made.....and the crab boil ingrediaents are here ready to roll.
GOTTA WIN.
Agree with Wlayton: just play fundamental and we should win.
By the way, the video played at home games if you need a little pick me up:
GO DAWGSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS
Remember last year? Down on the 10 in OT. Tied game. 1st and goal. We pass and it's intercepted and returned to our 1 yard line. Bobo, listen up: if you are tied in OT and we get the ball 1st, PLEASE don't think you have to score on the 1st play.
