From Athens- Bye Week

Good Morning All,

Time for me to step up and acknowledge that I take full responsibility for the manner that we have won our last four football games this season.

It was I who asked that we win ugly. There is no question that is what we have done.

In fact the Vandy game was so ugly it reach uglier status.

I have almost reached the point of wanting us lose a game with us having record offense and defense stats just so some here would have a more enjoyable Saturday, NOT!

For this young team a win by one or by 100 is a “W”.

I agree winning by “100” means you get to use words like dominant.

I also agree I would like to have put lesser teams away by a higher scores, but……. I will still take these wins to build on.

CTG is a work in progress, he himself as a college coach and the defense, which he has put together here at UGA.

Just like the “Choke” sign at JAX last year, this past weekend will prove to be a learning experience for Todd. His players and he will come away with lessons learned.

One thing that won’t escape is his love and caring for his players. He has come to learn in a very short time how to lead and mentor those he has been put in charge off.

Clearly we are where we are due to the efforts of our defense and CTG.

Wlayton, I am still on the island with Palm tree and deck chair in hand.

My bye week means I have to get back to yard work which has gone to hell in a hand basket.

Another gem for a Friday morning yd1. Welcome to the island! wlayton is going to have to get a bigger boat if we stink it up in Jax.

Beginning to calm down a bit, cleared my mind posting this week.

Woke up early this morning to 51 degree weather. What a great start to the weekend. Crawl on the tractor and cut the grass, sweep the pool and make a big pot of stew.

Georgia should be in great shape for the coming weekend having had a week off.

averagedawg posted some great photos in the Dawg Pound, all should take a look.

yd1.....a special thank you today. Nice to read your logical post.......we use to be able to read AD5's logical posts but he got fed up and I hate not having him post.

I have no problem with winning ugly at all, and I'm fine with every W we get no matter how we
get it. The unhappy feelings expressed are not always directed at the game we just won. It's
basically saying if we don't get these things corrected, they are going to jump up and bite
us on the backside against future opponents. The Vandy game.. we won. I'm happy and satisfied
coming home from the road with W's under our belt. Don't care that it was ugly.
That doesn't however keep me from saying we need to correct this or that because we might not
be able to overcome this or that type of mistake against UF, Auburn, or Tech.
