Good Morning All,

My week has started with the new experience of being selected for jury duty. It is a civil case and I get to come home at night. Good Thing

Must say it was a surreal experience to sit in the jury box for the first time.

No weekend court so I will be able to watch the Vandy game at home.

Yes again it was an ugly win. Missed opportunities to score.

Put me down for another win even if it is beauty free.

I am going out on an island and share some of my observations of the first half of the season.

Games one and two were like a race horse that stumbles out of the gate. Games 3-4-5-&- 6 found us gaining our stride with wins.

Are we at the same level as Bama or LSU?

No not at this time and it would appear that no other teams in the SEC can play with these two teams.

This would be true for many of the other teams in the country.

One will play for the NC.

The state of our team is we have an excellent chance to finish at 10-2.

It may or may not be good enough to win the East of the SEC it will be good enough for a top tier bowl game.
I for one have enjoyed watching IC and the “D” go to class each game and get better. Same can be said about MM.

IMO the progress we have seen on defense is ahead at this point of where I felt we would be at this point in the season.

Taking into account the injury of Tree and CW missing two games. This is an example of CTG building depth. I love it.

Did you notice the two different shots of CMB during the UT game wearing no headphones? And by
himself in the boot…Strange…….. CMR did say that they both discussed the long pass to MM.

My dime says something is up with the CMR and CMB. Unlikely anything happens before seasons end.

Question was asked here was I happy with the Vol win.

The answer is yes!

Anytime the Dawgs play and win I am happy!

Do I wish that they could/would play better yes?

We can look forward to continued improvement with each game on both sides of the ball.

Let’s go back to back to back to back to back, and win again.

Take two from the state of Tennessee, play a bunch of players and no injuries. Take the bye week to get healthy and then go to JAX and deep fry a Gator.

Georgia is ready for some late night winning treats again.

Pause and give thanks, we are blessed.

Have a great weekend and a safe week.

As always “Go Dawgs”

Go Dawgs!

Good morning my friend. Seems as if we are getting a "early" start this fine Friday. Have done the jury thing, civil case, lasted 2 weeks. yankeedawg1, remember you must not discuss this case with anyone . . . . that includes Georgia.

Excellent post, covered a lot of ground, past, present and future. Also feel you have noticed the upgrade in new posters on this board. Good bunch Steve let through the turnstills this go round.

Have a great weekend, a bark or two for Georgia . . . :)

yd1, a very level headed and even keeled post, and excellent as always. Thanks!

If we win the next two games in a row, I am going to start getting a little excited. Right now they have my attention, largely due to the D and IC.

Beating Florida is paramount. I will not withstand another loss to the GayTors. And Will Muschimp - oops, my bad - Will Muschump, just makes this game all the more important. Honestly I don't think any person directly associated with the UGA football program understands just how critical that game is - at least for me. I used to take wins against Florida for granted, and didn't even hate them. That's right, I didn't even used to hate Florida. They were like pretty much any other team - Ole Miss, Miss. State, and others. But now, since about 1985, I hate them. I hate anything to do with that wretched school.

All that loathing I have for Florida, and now they have a turncoat for a head coach in Muschimp . . . er, that is Muschump.

Coach Richt, I know you don't ever read any of these posts, but on the chance you do . . .

. . . beat Florida whatever it takes . . . Lose to them this year and the last little spark of confidence I have that you can get the job done is gone.

Okay, I let that get the best of me, sorry, but we have to win in Jax this year. Losing is no longer an option.

Im w/ ya thriller. I cant stomach another loss to UF. If we cant beat them this year, after the progress we've made, and the situation they are in, then........WHEN? I feel real good about this TEAM right now. Sure there is room for improvement, but, even Miles and Saban would say the same of thier respective programs. Lets put a whoopin on Vandy and get the boys rested and ready for the Fighting Jorts.

Great post yd1, as usual, very logical and to the point. THE biggest thing I agree with you is.......beat Vandy and play a lot of players.....and above all....NO INJURIES.

I want NO excuses going into the UF game. If we are healthy and rested and LOSE to UF, then like everyone else, that's the straw that breaks the camel's back for me. If we're healthy and can't beat them this year, then we'll never beat them again with this staff. A coach that can't consistantly beat UF has to go. I want CMR to turn this ship around and if Bobo goes, I believe it may be possible but in my book, he needs a win over UF. I live around all these gators and I've had enough of them....huh Buc?? Sorry, thinking about UF really gets me BOILING.

Great weekend everybody and a cool one for you yd1 !!!:woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo:

Great post yd1. Like I said yesterday, I'm taking the stance of being "pessimistically optimistic" on the rest of the year. We have the IDEAL opportunity to set up the rest of the season...get a solid win with 4-quarter performances from both the O and the D this weekend...get some valuable playing time for the 3/4 deep, and take advantage of the bye week to prepare for UF. If the team takes a mature approach to the next 14 days, i.e., don't overlook Vandy and stay focused during the bye week, we have a shot at the only blemishes on our record being from the first two weeks of the season.

The good news is, we're starting to see a team developing the talent/depth to compete consistently again in the SEC: running game is looking much improved over last year, defense is all but shutting down the run, and blair, drew, et al are pulling it together on special teams. If the players treat every practice snap as a chance to improve, we could be looking at a pretty impressive football team by the end of the year. GO DAWGS!!
