Derrick Henry update (if interested)

Last Friday Henry rushed for 242 yards on 23 carries (going by memory....at least very close).

Through 5 games 1069 yards on 128 carries, 11 TD's, 8.3 ypc.

Btw....supporting cast is not very good either.

Do you think UGA is going to be able to maintain his commitment?

He's a 2013 kid right? You know some other people are going to keep pounding that door.

wlayton, he had a rough go earlier this year against tougher competition. Like you alluded to, the surrounding cast might not be up to snuff. Some of what we see with some of our offensive efforts thus far this season in Athens. No doubting Henry has been blessed, and do think he will stick with his commitment. He and a certain quarterback down that way have become friends as I understand it.

Yes, I think he will. One big reason is what Buc alluded to....he's very good friends with Ramsey that committed to UGA as well (as you know).

Buc, Henry's lowest ypg was against Buford.....ran for 116 yards on 17 carries. They used a QB the 1st two games and after the loss to Buford, they just put Henry in the "wildcat" and he ran for 280 and 222, plus last week's numbers above. Also won all 3.

wlayton as you know, (you are old enough also) back in the day, we used to get a lot of young men from JAX and the surrounding area. One of the things that really excited me was the young men from South Georgia came on board with the Dream Team this season. FSU had been kicking our bottoms for some time, welcome the change.

Not to be ugly. High school coach changed his offensive system, did not wait. Put the ball in Henry's hands and the "wildcat" was the right formation for them, just needed to be looked at and changes made.

These two young men stick with UGA, others will follow. My opinion.
