I have never seen so much depth at UGA. DL's, LB's, DB's, RB's, even QB's, we are loaded with talent. Stiil the biggest question is the OL, sounds better as well.
Don't know that I can ever remember (lots of years) coaches talking about going 3 and 4 deep at most of the positions. Football has changed so much in my life, much like NASCAR. When you feel good about a substitution rather than saying oh no. . . .says a lot about the program. Having freshmen and sophmores competing for playing time has become the norm. I really like the way this UGA bunch in shaping up. I still worry about that first game though . . . . could really set the tone for the season.
Buc, that first game should be fine. OSU has a good offense but a lousy defense. Sound familiar, like Boise State? In last year's bowl game, even Alabama's offense scored 35 points on OSU's defense and Alabama's offense was terrible. OSU's offense is pretty explosive but they haven't played against a defense with speed like we're going to have. We'll be fine.
